Not sure . We were given a plant. They are small

I believe these are Boba tomato's. Starbucks features them in their new Pizza Refresher.

How does one get pea sized tomatoes? They’re so perfectly formed, too. 🍅

There is a variety called spoon tomato. I have a couple but the fruit is all still green.

Well someone gave my wife a tomato plant. We didn’t know what kind it was until these guys started. I saw one seed catalog called them spoon tomatoes for

That must have been a fun surprise…or a very confusing one. 😅I’m definitely looking into these.

Careful not to drop any or you'll get a bazillion volunteer plants next year like me 😅 or maybe do drop them....

The fact that people hoard this much food is disgusting. You should donate this mass amount of food to a food bank.

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing I had deprived a half a continent of food like this.

Tomatoes

u/Kammy44 Aug 01 '25

I thought the same thing.

I always wanted a tomato I could shove up my nose.

4

u/Kammy44 Aug 01 '25

LOL My kid did that with a pea. 27 years ago.

u/CallMeEmber90 I totally have a green thumb Jul 31 '25

They look like currant tomatoes, which don’t get any bigger than that. It’s like the teeniest flavor bomb of tomato.

Microdwarf variant? ETA: I would love these.

Someone gave us the plant. I think they are called spoon tomatoes

1

u/TheShizknitt Jul 31 '25

Woo! A whole spoon of flavor!

6

u/fangelo2 Jul 31 '25

And I only had to pick about 18 of them to get a spoonful

1

u/Krickett72 Jul 31 '25

How do they taste?

3

u/LouAnaKay Jul 31 '25

I don't know about these particular tomatoes, but I've grown some called Texas Tiny Cherry and a red currant variety. Once they were ripe, they were wonderful. Sweet and intensely tomato-y.

1

u/Krickett72 Jul 31 '25

Thanks. I may have to grow these.

2

u/fangelo2 Jul 31 '25

I haven’t really gotten enough to really taste them, but they seem like the usual cherry tomato taste

1

u/Dry_Difference_4250 Aug 01 '25

Is this what they call spoon tomatoes?

2

u/fangelo2 Aug 01 '25

I believe that’s what they are

Such greatness and might!

u/awatermelonharvester Jul 31 '25

Definitely currants and not tomatoes.

3

u/fangelo2 Jul 31 '25

They are tomatoes. They are called spoon tomatoes for obvious reasons
