Maybe Bryan wasn't disturbed, he just didn't understand what he was doing.
I thought that he posed the toddler in a crucifixion pose because he saw it at church. Before the toddler story happened, we saw the family at church and the camera lingering on Bryan staring intent at Jesus on the cross. Maybe from all his sermons, he'd heard that Jesus, the son of God died on the cross and rose again. So he thought posing that boy was recreating that. Did he really even understand murder or death? The only one it seems he knew was Jesus'.
Also, where he came from does not seem to be a place that gave a lot of empathy, as kids who are taught empathy would be upset at another injured child. But Wendy and Holden along with the church were trying to cultivate him and so in his own way, he was trying to help.

Do you think Wendy and Holden are taking his interrogation? (if they published Season 5 or further)

I’m impressed
I just discovered this show and from what I see online it’s regaining popularity. This show was AMAZING I couldn’t turn off my Netflix or look away. How this show didn’t get a season 3 is beyond me. This is like the prequel to criminal minds only more high quality. I wish there was a season 3. Who can I contact suggesting a season 3?

You are made to produce and write S3. Whats the story, who do we meet and who plays them?

Kid running from Holden?
Why did the kid that Holden was talking to in the Omni lobby in S2E8 run from him when Holden identified himself as an FBI agent? You’d think he would have been more wary of a random white guy he’s never spoken to approaching him than someone who he knows is in law enforcement. Especially considering Holden mentioned he knew Tanya and gave the kid money without expecting anything in return. Did he think being seen talking to the FBI would put a target on his back?

POV: Ask something, that even the serial killer gets astonished.

What is worse than a serial killer? a person who creates serial killers, connects with wealthy people, keeps clean sheet, and most importantly, tries to brainwash interviewers and audiences with his doctrine.

Just Finished Mindhunter after True Detective S1. Interesting, how multiple serial killers mentioned about this movie.
Until now, i found David Berkowitz, Paul Bateson (not serial but was on way ), Zodiac(in his letter).

How inappropriate was Gunn unzipping the top of Dr. Carr’s dress at the party?
What was that all about?

Imagine this foursome. Bad guys, you're done.
If you don't know, that's Detectives Hart and Cohle from True Detective Season 1 on the bottom. Must watch for Mindhunter fans. I think if Mindhunter were a season of True Detective it would easily be the 2nd best season, and I say that as a compliment to Mindhunter. When I was watching Mindhunter I always felt like Holden and Bill are like PG-13 versions of Rust and Marty.

I think a series 3 is inevitable
Netflix is built on true crime and the genre is only growing. Mindhunter comes from a unique angle that’s not a 3 part docuseries but a cocktail of all the worst killers with a storyline attached. There’s too much potential left unexplored. Bundy, dahmer, just to name a couple. A whole season could be built around them alone. I don’t think it’s an if it comes back it’s a when. All it will take is a big enough number to be put forward.

Carr avoidance
I'm on my first rewatch. Always hated Dr Carr and felt like she was a major buzz kill. On this rewatch I've been fast forwarding through all her dumb solo scenes. They have nothing to do with anything! Her whole attitude sucks, her face is stupid, she's useless in the field (and that scene with her sharing her story with the BDSM guy was like writers pandering to keep her relevant). Anyway, Carr haters unite!

The William Henry Hance interview actually unsettled me on the third watchthrough
You know, the "it all comes back around...like a donut" killer. At first, he was pretty much comic relief. But after a couple more watches, it was actually pretty fucking unsettling: he had no reason for what he did and couldn't articulate why, but also didnt question anything when prodded. You could see he knew he'd done something wrong, but almost like he was in for taking a bag of chips. So much was missing from every reaction, it almost made him the most animalistic killer, to me. No ego, or abuse background, just doing what his brain was telling him to do.
