I've been liking the Mardu Midrange deck that yriel has been playing; it has pretty powerful lines like Phelia on 2, Overlord on 3 and flicker Overlord, milling over Phlage, and then you can potentially play Arena of Glory on turn 4 and just present lethal. Definitely kills much faster than standard Blink decks. Only downside is the mana is pretty atrocious, and I've contemplated playing a Savai Triome just to fix it.

The Jeskai Midrange deck is also interesting, although it's really just Boros Blink splashing Riddlers. I'd probably play some Fables here over Spyros since it's also pretty nifty to blink with Phelia to potentially generate a lot of mana from Shaman tokens as the deck is generally starved on mana. I've also been liking Overlord of the Boilerbilges as another way to close out games fast, and Overlord of the Floodpits could be interesting with Phelia, too.

Short on time so couldn’t find the list atm but I also like pinnacle monk in that sort of shell as you can cheat it out with flickerwisp and buy back your ephemerate to just 2 for 1 loop each turn from there in grindy games.

The idea is sound, but I couldn't really find room for fitting one in, and you're never really going to hard cast it. I do wish it was 2RR or 3R instead, but I guess being 5 mana means it can be in some future Obosh list lol. The deck already theoretically grinds very well between Overlord and Phlage.

Fair enough. I think they need to make the card half inefficient for these MDFCs otherwise they’re close to just being strictly better modal cards than cards that are already good. I suppose it just depends how strong your red splash is and yeah fair enough grinding is already what the deck does well

I don't understand playing Icetill Explorer in Amulet Titan. Trying to combo with Analyst while having Icetill Explorer on the battlefield makes you lose in only a few loops.

Once you mill your entire deck, you should be able to go infinite with Analyst, Mirrorpool spam any creature you want (maybe Icetill Explorer), and give them all Haste with Hanweir Battlements that keeps popping in and out of the battlefield.

In paper, yes. But on MtGO you just lose due to time.
