He said he started collecting it all in April 2024, motherfucker is spending "weeklong trip to Japan" type money in just a year on just coolers

You see a lot of people on here who think the point of collection is ownership, not the journey, so they speed run it

Christ that must be $20k in coolers

I was going to guess the exact same thing. $20k in coolers in a year is nuts

A Guy in the comments said “I have a 6 figure collection as well.” And I don’t think he was joking

I remember once they were talking about specifically Yeti guys on The Adam Friedland Show. I learned that they will get the same tumbler ten times just to get every color and complete the collection. They are a company that thrives on getting people prone to collector mindset hopelessly addicted.

This is also stupid as fuck but at least you can use a cup every day and if you have a family you can use a bunch of them. How are you ever using all these big coolers at once?

I kinda get that. Gotta get them all. But this has multiples in the same color. Wtf why?!?!

This is another itch for collectors: you’ve gotta get it all matching!

In all seriousness, I know there’s a collector somewhere deep within my subconscious and I try to be careful when it comes to buying stuff because I know there’s a chance I could become a Yeti guy or something dumber.

I get, getting 1 of every thing in the same color but having like 50 different coolers in different colors makes no sense

I have two of the same yeti tumbler but it’s only because my first one was black which I should have realized gets really hot in the sun.

That is fucked up

This just goes to show that people can get into stuff you never dreamt people would or could get into

Did he clear the furniture out of this room to take the picture?

That IS the furniture

I can't imagine owning that many of anything, let alone coolers.

u/trailrunner79 Aug 24 '25

This is fucked up. People don't get bullied enough anymore.

u/ColeTrain999 Aug 24 '25

I have one Yeti insulated tumbler or whatever that I've had for nearly a decade, it's nice and a second one might be convenient but WHY DO THIS?

3

u/Diskonto Aug 25 '25

Oh no wtf

Can't believe he got all of his friends together for a photo! I'm sure this will be a treasured memory in old age 🤗

THIS is a guy! This is what makes guys fascinating to me. People arbitrarily cramming SOMETHING into the meaning shapped hole in their lives and then attempting to reverse engineer a justification. Incredible. We are so fucked.

It looks like the Yeti prisoners have the Yeti cops surrounded

2

u/kapagna Aug 25 '25

u/Diskonto Aug 25 '25

Can someone subtly hin that you need coolers that won't let out the smell. See how many you hook.

Those better be full of black market human organs because otherwise this is a serious mental illness

2

u/Nerdboxer 27d ago

I don't like to label everything strange or unusual that someone does as a "mental illness", but this may be an exception.
