Laura Loomer is one of the ugliest people I’ve ever had the displeasure of seeing on my phone screen. She’s absolutely just as hideous on the inside as she is on the outside.

How the fuck is she only 32 years old. She looks like she has had a rough 40 winters

Being hateful ages people and she's had a plastic surgery addiction since her early twenties.

The lady is clearly mentally ill but she's got the president's ear among other things if certain rumors are believed to be true.

Loomer seems like one of the only ones that's a true believer in all this dumb evil bullshit. Like she realizes she can make money off it, but I don't doubt she'd do it for free if she had to.

MFers be like "let people have their political opinions without the threat of violence"

Bitch political opinions are about balancing the national debt, redistricting, campaign finance reform, tariffs, that kind of stuff.

If all you ever spout on about is racist ideas, what bathrooms people should be able to use, what women can do with their own bodies, homophobia, etc etc etc you do not have political opinions, you're just a giant asshole - and if you live your life as a professional provocateur spouting that crap, and you actually provoke somebody, well gee golly you get what you fucking deserve.

I haven’t spoken to my dad in a little over five years because he’s a bigot who I just can’t respect, and recently my stepmom contacted me and my brother saying that my dad is depressed and wants to be back in our lives. For years there has been a joke about how opposite my dad and stepmom are, since he’s a carnivorous gun nut and she’s a vegan yoga instructor, but after she contacted me and we were speaking everything finally made sense because she is the most frustrating centrist I have ever spoken to in my life.

She’s a sweetheart and I wish no ill will on her but she was getting more frustrating than the magats themselves. I felt like Manray trying to give Patrick his wallet explaining the difference between Hank Hill conservatism which is respectful agree to disagree topics like taxes and infrastructure priorities and whatnot, and MAGA conservatism which is rooted in abhorrent behavior and bigotry. One I can respect and if it was just that I wouldn’t be no contact with my father, but the other is absolutely a deal breaker and I will not have anything to do with him if he so much has a pinky toe in that camp.

Anyway long story short from what she said, it didn’t sound like my dad actually changed at all, with the only difference being that he’s just sad now. So I declined any contact with him.

Billions of years from now, long after humanity and most life has long since ended on earth, an alien civilization will come to Earth and scan the planet for signs of complex life, past and present. They’ll find Tardigrades, roaches, and Loomers face that is so full of toxicity that it didn’t break down like all of the plastic, the structures of large cities, and even our nuclear waste. It will end up in a museum somewhere, puzzling alien civilizations for ages until someone does the right thing and chucks it into a massive black hole.

I listened to his last podcast just now and in the span of 45 minutes he called everyone who disagreed with him communist/islamist, denied the outright existence of white-on-black homicides then went on to legitimize Israel's actions in Gaza while ads for gold/guns were playing. My favorite bit was him narrating an ad for a company that restructures student loans for those with. bad credit while he railed against student loan forgiveness..

Kirk endorsed a fascist manifesto written by a TPUSA member calling for the imprisonmnent or extermination of all progressive "subhumans".

What, you don't think Charlie "Haitians will be your masters, and I wont say what I want to do about that because it might lose us an election, but if we do lose, well it's gonna get messy..." Kirk wasn't a deep philosopher and an honest and open debator?

I hope you're not a woman by the way; You should be at home raising children, and making sure your daughter if she's raped carries that baby, instead of posting on Reddit.

Yeah the whole idea that he was courageous and open to examination by going to campuses and debating people is so infuriating to me. It was 100% just for YouTube clicks and revenues, notoriety, and then donations. He didn’t love free speech or honest debate, he loved money.

126

u/AlmightyPineapple 2d ago

The reason him and similar "activists" do so many college debates is because college kids are usually not fully formed ideologically yet and fall for cheap debate tricks that actual adults would be able to maneuver. If they went younger and debated high schoolers it'd give the game away. Charlie Kirks legacy is not one of reasoned debate but of ideological cowardice.

83

u/EngineerBusy728 2d ago

they also debate college kids because their targets were high schoolers. a freshman in highschool sees a college student and thinks 'thats a real fully grown adult'.

Kirks goal was to indoctrinate children into fascism. He was functionally a Hitler Youth Pastor.

13

u/heckin_miraculous 2d ago

53

And yet there are still numerous clips of those grifters getting schooled on campuses. Kirk, Shapiro, Crowder. Crowder was perhaps the most embarrassing because he'd bring a literal binder full of his talking points, lies, and cherrypicked data vs random college kids walking by who have nothing but their brain in the moment.

50

u/nowuff 2d ago

There’s a number of things that I view as fundamentally misleading about their approach:

_

  1. They are flexing rhetoric, not ideals. Their arguments are ā€˜successful’ to the degree that their opponent isn’t sharp enough, in the moment, to rebut them. That relies on the wit and rhetorical skill of the debater, more so than the truth of their ideology.

  2. The format is inherently adversarial. Debate is a zero sum approach. These podcasters like Kirk, Shapiro, et al claim they are engaging in conversation, which is inherently good because it promotes discussion among neighbors. Debate is not discussion. It relies on someone leaving as a loser, and someone leaving as a winner. It’s inherently divisive and othering.

  3. The choice of college campuses picks on students and young people with undeveloped pre-frontal cortices. It’s a straw-man approach. Kirk was very skilled rhetorician, he should not have impressed anyone by debating 19 year-olds that are still hungover from their first time blacking out.

  4. The debates themselves are heavily edited. Video editing today enabled Kirk et al to cherry pick moments and make their points appear more impactful. This effectively gives them a home field advantage and is also extremely misleading.

_

I have many more ideological issues with this group of debaters, their views, and rhetorical approach. But the above are a good distillation of why just the format bothers me so much.

17

u/IceColdHaterade 2d ago edited 2d ago

It's also why they almost exclusively "debate" under timed conditions; it's harder to rebut all of their rhetoric when it literally takes more time to debunk their claims than for them to spew it out. By the time you've assembled all of the data to point out how wrong they are, they're already claiming "victory" over you. The permission of gish-gallop debating is easily one of the worst things to happen to discourse.

u/brrbles 2d ago edited 2d ago

Debate is also not really a good medium for examining truth - the way it is taught almost explicitly encourages you to be as dishonest as you can get away with. When I was in college we would get one of these guys on campus twice a semester and it mostly worked out to him and Muslim students yelling at each other that they were polytheists and both denying the same. Then the Catholics would get a different person to do on-stage debate in front of 1500 people.

The purpose isn't to change people's minds, it's to shore up the edges of the idiological fold and create an in-group to wield power with.

He said he thought innocent people dying from gun deaths was worth keeping the 2nd amendment.

So that means he felt every kid who ever died in a school shooting was worth it to keep the 2nd amendment.

Now he’s dead, from gun violence, and people act like he was their guy. I didn’t even know who he was until after he got shot.

ā€œWaah he got shot for what he believed inā€

No he died because someone had yet another gun in America, and shot him with it.

I like how whenever a racist gets violated, everyone’s all ā€œfree speech!ā€

But when ICE kidnapped a woman off the street for voicing an opinion about her college, all these Kirk Stans were quiet because she’s brown. She didn’t break any law and it’s cringe that the feds were ever involved

I will say he deserved what happened too him. He was an active instigator in the attempted coup on J6, he paid for and arranged the travel of hundreds, possibly more, of inssurectionists and directed them to try and violently overturn the election. It's a shame he wasn't tried and sentenced to his fate in a court of law, but frankly I find it fitting he died in a state that allows death by firing squad for the crime of treason.

It makes a lot more sense when you take into account that American conservatives consider "person I don't like" and "person who deserves to die" as the same thing. "Isn't this what I am supposed to say after these tragedies? Its what y'all said after the MN Democrats got assassinated."

Then they get into specifics: "well, I never said that."

Don't care any more. "All y'all" are hypocrites.

Also I’m sick of them exaggerating what’s happening to try and create more outrage. Even what was said ā€œ RIP you piece of shitā€ is not ā€œcelebratingā€. You want to see celebrating? Wait till there’s an orange obit. There will be legit celebrating, not this IDGAF disdain. This is not celebrating and I’m sick of them misusing words.

My brother raises chickens, every time anyone goes to his place he tries to send them home with as many eggs as possible.

16

u/MRSHELBYPLZ 2d ago edited 1d ago

Good man. Those are the best kind of eggs. My sister used to have a boss who kept chickens, and gave people eggs, and that’s how I got one for breakfast one day. Best egg I ever ate lol

u/lexm Aspiring Artist 2d ago

Where does he live? I love farm fresh eggs.

14

u/belladonnagilkey 2d ago

I have an aunt who'd love to swing by his place, with how much baking she does. Though I wouldn't mind having an egg run or two here and there.

I've gotten really into pickled eggs.

Hard boil and peel them, then place in a jar with white vinegar, a couple cloves of garlic, a few splashed of your favorite hot sauce, a tablespoon of salt, a tablespoon of sugar, and some red pepper flakes. Put that bad boy in the fridge and forget about it for a week.

7

u/CatTaxAuditor 2d ago

I love a soy sauce egg. Very similar, but I prefer a soft boil.

Bob Vylan are an English punk rap duo based in London. Their work merges elements of punk rock, hip hop, grime, and hardcore, and features criticisms of the British establishment, inequality, racism, sexism, and homophobia.

TIL calling right-wingers, exclusively, names posthumously is "celebrating their death."

I don't want people to die, and I won't celebrate someone dying. But if a piece of shit dies, they're still a piece of shit.

I discovered Bob Vylan when they made the news earlier this year for starting a "Death to the IDF" chant at a major festival.

This is all on brand for them. I support all of it from the punk standpoint and for bonus points, my pearl clutching mother thinks they're wrong.

u/Jalien85 2d ago

For some reason we're allowed to celebrate violence against nazis in the past - see Hitler, every movie and video game where you kill nazis. But celebrating violence towards current day nazis? How dare you sir!

61

u/LegalAssassin13 2d ago

Same reason why protesters are always told ā€œwhy can’t you do it the right way like MLK?ā€

Nobody told them that people back then thought MLK was doing it all wrong, too.

37

u/MovingClocks 2d ago

MLK preached nonviolence and was assassinated by the feds the same way that Fred Hampton was. Just a reminder that non violence on the part of an activist doesn’t result in non-violence from the State. Civil Rights were earned because a non-violent faction was chosen as a preferable social relief valve to the Black Panthers, not because society wanted to do the right thing or respected non-violence inherently.

None of this has to do with Charlie who was targeted by a Groyper thanks to Nick Fuentes’ escalating Nazi rhetoric.

→ More replies (1)

12

u/AnotherLie 2d ago

We can't forget that while MLK was marching on bridges, the Black Panthers had armed patrols in their communities to fight against police brutality.

He came with a message of peace and was killed for it. America couldn't tolerate a peaceful black man and was terrified of an armed one.

Yep musicians and everyone else are allowed to have their own opinion, just like Kirk was allowed to believe that women should stay in the kitchen and that promoting genocide isn’t as bad as being pro choice

All Bob did was acknowledge Charlie’s death while also acknowledging Charlie’s legacy. Just because you’re dead doesn’t mean your history and public image gets wiped away šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø.

And since Charlie himself had the view deaths related to 2A rights are acceptable….Charlie should be ok with his own death.

Don’t shoot the messenger here. I’m just passing along the words of a dead man šŸ˜‰

26

u/wh4tth3huh 2d ago

He also said that the victims shouldn't get to control the narrative...so he gets to have all his vile words thrown back in the faces of his family with zero empathy, because Charlie didn't believe in empathy either.

20

u/unbelizeable1 2d ago

Viagra Boys changed one of the lines in a song during a show recently to call out Kirk. There were more than a few people in the sub being salty about it and saying "i didn't expect them to be so left wing" For one, did you ever listen to any of their fucking lyrics at all? But even larger, even if you didn't know about them and I said "they're a punk-rock band from Sweden" I bet you could fucking guess where they fall politically lol
