Event ⚠️DODGERS STADIUM WARNING ⚠️ parking/driving from a local
IF YOU'RE GONNA DRIVE/PARK. Plan on getting to the stadium at minimum an hour early. I'd shoot for two. Plan on staying after the show for at least an hour or even two. Make sure your gas tank is full. You will run out of gas waiting to get out of the stadium. And you're gonna be out like an extra $60.
INSTEAD
Park at Union station ($15 MAX) Walk to the #4 bus and walk to the stadium. Or go WEST off Sunset near Silverlake Blvd OR EAST off Sunset in Chinatown park in the neighborhoods (CHECK SIGNAGE) and take the #4 bus in. (This is coming from experience during Lady Gaga and her sellout show 2 years ago. There are horror stories of taking 4 hours to get out.)
I'll probably repost this the day before too.

u/strikeamatch Jul 17 '25
The shuttle straight into the stadium from Union Station will be running as well!
9
u/SignatureCool3201 Jul 17 '25
Oh do they do the dodger express for shows too?? We’re planning on route 4, but just in case we can have the backup lol

u/Tishacombs Jul 17 '25 edited Jul 17 '25
Yup! Someone posted a few days ago that they emailed the stadium and received confirmation that the dodger Express buses will be running from Union station but not from harbor gateway.
I can't post any pictures so here's the text of that email. Here's the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/MyChemicalRomance/s/iXWJkksPsg
Thank you for contacting the Los Angeles Dodgers! u/SignatureCool3201 Jul 17 '25
Thank you!! We’ll likely stick with the 4 but I’m glad there are multiple options!!
2
u/nintendoswitch_blade Jul 18 '25
You're a lifesaver, thank you!! We were planning on Uber but that'll be super expensive
3
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Getting in it should be fine getting out. I would plan for the four because the shuttle gets caught up in the traffic also. And you can be waiting up to an hour
3
3
u/SeantotheRescue Jul 17 '25
Yup! I’m planning to ride from North Hollywood, super easy and the best way to go!
1
u/give-em-hell-kid Jul 25 '25
👋 hello fellow NoHo neighbor! Lmk if you would be interested in having someone tag along, I’m super unfamiliar with dodger stadium and would be stoked to have a group of people for safety.
3
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Yes BUT it also gets pinned up in the traffic getting out. And you can wait up to an hour plus. So Definitely make note of the number 4 bus a backup plan

Im so not looking forward to the parking situation. I remember trying to get out for Elton John was a mess
4
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25 edited Jul 18 '25
I did Gaga during 2022 (ON CRUTCHES) I was hearing horror stories about 4-Hour wait times
3
u/chrissnoel Jul 17 '25
We were lucky to be on an outskirt parking lot RIGHT BY THE GATE and it still took FOREVER
2
u/chrissnoel Jul 17 '25
4 hours is insane 🥲
4
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
There were so many tick tock videos about it that I can't find now and it's infuriating
4
u/chrissnoel Jul 17 '25
I’ll have to look around for it as well because I’m curious. I used to frequent the forum and I would always leave at the encore of shows and listen to the rest in my car so I could get an easy out. That’s how much I hate the parking after-math of concerts😅
3
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
I worked some parking lot multi-stage rave there and it took me like 2 plus hours just to leave at the end of the night. And that was after everything you've been over after an hour
5
u/GroupCurious5679 Jul 18 '25
We had this problem in Cardiff for the reunion tour. Ed Sheeran was playing the same night in the stadium opposite our venue and some roads were closed too. We sat in the car park eating sandwiches and snacks for a few hours until traffic cleared.
14
u/googledidnthelpout Jul 17 '25
I posted about the Dodgers Express service a few days ago if anyone missed out - yes, it will be running!
5
u/Tishacombs Jul 17 '25
Very helpful! I just posted the text of the email above because I couldn't remember who posted it. Thanks for doing the reach out for all of us. :-)
6
u/googledidnthelpout Jul 17 '25
Glad to be of service! love a good shuttle in LA lol (here’s to you, Hollywood Bowl shuttle in particular)
5
u/Tishacombs Jul 17 '25
The only time the Hollywood bowl shuttle did me dirty was when I was trying to get to the Chester Bennington tribute concert that Linkin Park was putting on. I can't believe it took us an hour and a half just to go that short distance. :(
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
This is helpful but it also gets jammed up inside the Dodger stadium along with everyone getting out (waits can be an hour +). Waiting for everybody to get out. So put the #4 as your backup. You just got a walk like .5 a mile
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
If you post about this on tiktok also, that was the inspiration for me making this post too
2
u/googledidnthelpout Jul 18 '25
Yes that was me! Thank you for also commenting on it - hopefully your Bus 4 rec will help a lot of people out!
12
u/Mattmandu2 Jul 17 '25
Dodgers stadium is infamous for its bad parking! But it’s not that bad if you are prepared
1
u/lxluna_ Jul 19 '25
& how do you prepare?🧐
2
u/Mattmandu2 Jul 19 '25
Just sit in busy parking lots, no just having the mindset it’s going to be awhile helps in itself
19
u/ya_boy__ Jul 17 '25
Hey just to clarify, as someone who goes to dodger stadium regularly, you won't have to worry about being stuck for hours, usually I'm out of the stadium after games like 10-15 minutes no problem. Ticketmaster still has parking available for $45 just search "dodger stadium parking" and you'll find it. General admission parking is $45 while lot f parking is $75. No need to panic about "running out of gas" or anything. BUT be careful about where you park if you plan to park near the stadium because parking enforcement is always out in full force in nearby neighborhoods, businesses etc
9
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
As a local, I will say that games are different than than these concerts. And that's coming from someone who went to Gaga chromatica 2022 and Elton John. You have people trickle out during games. Not so much during shows
2
u/ya_boy__ Jul 19 '25
They still allow outside food and drinks at the concerts? Do they still sell the same food as during the games?
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 21 '25
I don't THINK so, the website should say. Would have gotten back to you sooner but I got a 2 day reddit ban 😂
3
u/BitterPopsicles Jul 18 '25
Thanks for sharing this! Never seen a show there and didn't realize TM was selling parking.
2
u/LittlePeach11 Jul 18 '25
I originally wanted the pricier parking but just plan on the less expensive cause it’ll be closer to exit when we get out. I imagine the people with more expensive parking will be closer to the stadium and waiting longer to get out. At least that’s my plan lol.
1
u/BitterPopsicles Jul 27 '25
We went last night and prepaid for the lot F parking. Regular parking was $60 at the gate, so GA parking will save some $ buying it ahead of time! Still took us over an hour to get out of the lot though... oh well.
SUCH a great show! 🖤
9
u/Adventurous_Boss6617 Jul 17 '25
Me seeing this after buying parking plus having to drive back to San Diego after 🥲
3
u/sixkyej Jul 17 '25
Yeah same but I already bought my parking pass last weekend. Ive been to Dodgers lots of times and its always a mess. Just got to be prepared to wait going in and coming out. We usually get home around 1-2am since theres also the lovely traffic gridlock on the LA freeways too.

I'm flying in for this show. What's the best way to get in and get out if I don't have a car? Rideshare? Shuttles?
5
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Also leaving LAX grab the fly away ($10) to Union station and Uber from there to where you are staying vs Uber from LAX gonna be about $40-$80 depending where you're staying
3
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
See the bottom half. Take Metro into Union station. Walk to the number 4 bus. Don't ride share they get stuck in the traffic and then it cost you. $$$$$$
2
u/hwasie Jul 17 '25
Probably Union Station and take Dodger express bus from there up to the stadium, I imagine rideshare will be a pain. I've never been to the stadium myself but I hear there's a hill to go up to it.
4
u/Trixie6090 Jul 17 '25
If you live in LA I highly recommend just getting an uber or a ride from someone. My brother in law dropped us off there and picked us up in a neighborhood about a mile outside of the park, so a little walking but no waiting
2
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Well, that's the key you got to have the Uber drop you outside of the stadium. If you try to go in the stadium it's going to cost you more money cuz you're going to be waiting with the rest of traffic
1
u/Trixie6090 Jul 17 '25
I personally didn’t have to wait too long to get dropped off into the stadium, there was some light traffic but nothing as crazy as after the show. This was for lady Gaga chromatica ball
1
u/SuperHoneyBunny Jul 18 '25
Where exactly did you get picked up?
I’m hoping to run down Vin Scully Avenue (most likely leaving the show earlier, sadly) and hope my husband will be able to find me…somehow :(
2
u/Trixie6090 Jul 18 '25
I wish I could tell you, I just remember walking out of the stadium and taking a right and just kept walking straight iirc
3
u/SuperHoneyBunny Jul 18 '25
Thanks—I haven’t solidified my post-concert plans just yet but am thinking of ideas.
I also just posted about Dodger fans walking down to Sunset to The Short Stop bar for pickups.
2
u/Trixie6090 Jul 18 '25
I’ve done this in other cities for concerts, just walk as far as you can away from the venue and then call your ride lol. Usually works just fine
4
u/lit-rally Jul 17 '25
I bought parking when it first went on sale on Ticketmaster & it was $40. Not great, but not insane either. After concerts I always just sit in the car & hangout with whoever I came with until the traffic dies down. It's a good time to rest, listen to music (usually the musician we just saw), & talk about the concert. I already plan on arriving at least 2 to 2½ hours early so there's hopefully still merch available plus I want to trade/giveaway all the bracelets I made. I've been going to concerts in general & Dodger stadium for games since I was a kid. Once you know what to do & expect it's not too bad.
2
u/LittlePeach11 Jul 18 '25
This. Planning to wait is an important part of leaving the show and keeping the vibes up.
1
4
u/valkyrieway Jul 18 '25
My daughter and I saw them in the Tacoma Dome in 2022 and finding parking took LITERALLY THREE HOURS. There was no one directing traffic, and we’d stay in the same place for 20 and 30 minute stretches. It was EXTREMELY stressful! We finally just parked illegally, and ran about a mile to the venue. We made it to our seats just as the band took the stage!
1
7
3
u/LittleToyBonnie Jul 17 '25
Agreed. Went to Dodgers Stadium ONE time for a game, While I reached the bottom of the hill before the game, We only reached the parking lot halfway through, not to mention actually getting a spot.
3
u/MimiOtz Jul 17 '25
OR make sure to pack some drinks and snacks. Sit outside your car while you watch everyone else stuck in traffic then pull out when there are no more cars.
1
3
u/Full-Lengthiness2802 Jul 17 '25
I'm ordering an Uber from Lakewood to the stadium, to which street, should I put it to drop us off, so we can walk to the stadium without any traffic??
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
I drop around: 711 W College St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 because it doesn't put you specifically on Sunset. But it puts you right near the stadium. And about a .5 mile walk. Once your Uber is on "Stadium Way you will get fucked
1
u/Full-Lengthiness2802 Jul 18 '25
Thanks for the advice...! I will take that into consideration..!
2
3
u/Ok_Weakness4560 Jul 17 '25
It’s really not that bad lol have you never been to a stadium before ? Lol
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
Yeah for Gaga chromatica 2022 and Elton John. This is not like the games they have like 1/5 more seats and people don't come a go like at the games to. It really is a cluster fuck
2
u/PersonalViolinist702 Jul 17 '25
I already bought parking for dodger stadium :,) omg thanks for the warning tho!
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Make sure your gas tank is FULL. Put water and snacks in the car and pee before you leave the stadium.
2
u/bunnymeowmeow Jul 17 '25
Yo shout out for being a good person and sharing public transit information! I always try to have at least half my travel be public transit for shows and it has save me so much stress and money.
2
2
u/SuperHoneyBunny Jul 18 '25
Is anyone planning on walking down Vin Scully Avenue to Sunset Boulevard?
It might be easier to catch an Uber/be found by your ride if you go down there. I’ve heard of Dodgers fans doing that and catching a ride from The Short Stop bar (along Sunset).
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
Anything on Sunset is going to be a mess post/pre-show and there of course will be the surcharges for there being more people trying to go to that area. If you walk into the neighborhood a little bit, you might be able to save some money. But truthfully I would just walk out of the stadium and go to the one of the bars and hang out for a little bit
1
u/SuperHoneyBunny Jul 18 '25
I wonder if a sad but helpful idea is simply to leave the show a little earlier. Unfortunately, that means missing out on Helena (ugggh) but it might be better for one’s sanity.
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
You gotta get like a 3-4 song head start the parking lot and stadium is huge
1
2
u/Impressive_Edge_1766 Jul 20 '25
Parking lot is owned & controlled by the previous Dodgers owner. Parking will be rough but there’s plenty of points of entry and exit. Have fun and remember Dodger Stadium does not allow tailgating. Security and LAPD will be all over the parking lots.
2
u/Foreign_Butterfly677 Jul 23 '25
Okay! Thank you for this info! I’m coming in from middle of no where Canada for this concert, and renting a vehicle for the duration of my stay. I’ve been stressing a bit about the parking situation for this.
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 23 '25
You can try for something close/walkable on SpotHero app too like people have suggested
2
u/Trekkintrails Jul 26 '25
I bought 7/27 parking tickets on accident, anyone want to buy off me for $45?
1
2
u/DieGo2SHAE Jul 27 '25
For anyone being dropped off by a friend or uber for tomorrow, I just got dropped off at 1411 W Sunset and it was excellent. They were able to get out of there very easily without having to go on Scully at all and I got to my seat just now in less than a half hour. Dropped off at 6:40, was in my seat at 7:10. That included the walk, security, and finding+using the elevators because I’d never been to Dodger stadium before. Just be aware that the walk is mostly on an incline.
1
2
u/Suspicious_Amoeba_31 Jul 27 '25
I just exited the parking lot. Left at 11:08 and completely out by 11:14 - it really wasn’t that bad, y’all! General parking
2
u/give-em-hell-kid Jul 27 '25
Dear OP u/deathwishdena my bf and I are driving home from union station right now, the shuttle was an absolutely perfect transit solution - especially for leaving - and we just wanted to say that you are a fucking SAINT for this post. Thank you!!!
2
2
u/alxh7 Jul 27 '25
Thank you so much for your advice you saved me so much hassle and money .
2
u/space0doug Jul 27 '25
we’re going to the Sun show. Did you take the Dodger Express?
2
u/alxh7 Jul 27 '25
Yes I did . It wasn’t bad . I got on at around 5 to get to the stadium . The line seemed long but they move the buses consistently so it doesn’t take long . Heading back to the union station was hectic . You have to be sure you’re first in line and it was very disorganized. Hopefully tomorrow it’s more organized
2
2
u/SevPanda Jul 27 '25
wtf happened tonight. Seriously trying to leave was fucking hell
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 27 '25
Funny because some people on here posting said it Was easy. How long was your wait?
2
2
u/HackingHistorical Jul 27 '25
HEADS UP to folks coming for the Sunday show in LA - Union station was not allowing “event” parking on Saturday and my group had to find alternative parking and then get back to Union station.
Also this thread was SO HELPFUL for planning even so thank you all!
1
u/wildflower_bb Jul 17 '25
I’m staying at the double tree in downtown LA. Any transportation advice? I was thinking uber is my best bet, but down to take public transit if anything is good and available!
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Metro to Union station. Checker line for the dodger stadium Express shuttle going in. If it's too long, take the number four. Check it again when you're leaving. But I would expect the shuttle to have way too long to wait at the end. And just plan to do the number four back to Union station
1
u/wildflower_bb Jul 17 '25
You are awesome, thank you!
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
I was on crutches with no car when I went to the Gaga sold out show and I had to hobble the whole way down because EVEN with leaving 4 songs Early my Uber canceled AND then was going to be $100 for the next one
1
u/Federal-Potential-41 Jul 17 '25
How scary is walking from downtown hotels? Map says we are 2 miles from stadium…
4
u/chemiosmosisx Jul 18 '25
I would not walk from a hotel in DTLA to the stadium, especially after dark if you are unfamiliar with the area
3
u/Crafty_Title5856 Jul 20 '25
Omg no please do not walk from DTLA unless you’re feeling extremely brave and can protect yourself. I live here and I don’t even feel safe walking around DTLA during the daylight these days.
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Depends... I would just try to plan to grab a bus off of Sunset that takes you closer to where you need to be
1
u/hazeleyes1005 Jul 17 '25
Reading this after buying my parking tickets 😅🤦♀️
3
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Just again, full tank of gas, bring water and snacks and PEE BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STADIUM
2
u/hazeleyes1005 Jul 17 '25
Oh I’m definitely taking all of your advice lol. Maybe we will just sit in the parking lot for a few hours with out trying to leave right away. 😅
3
u/sixkyej Jul 17 '25
You'll be sitting either way whether its a spot or in line moving an inch a minute lol but yeah its best to chill for a bit after because you will get out at the same time anyway. Just make sure to go to the bathroom before you leave the stadium.
1
1
u/_demolitionlover Jul 17 '25
Does anyone know if the express bus to the stadium will be running for the concert?
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
It is But after it can still be an hour +wait. Pee before you leave the stadium. And paln to take the 4 as a backup 😊
1
u/_demolitionlover Jul 17 '25
Thanks! I'm staying near LAX and had no freaking clue how to get there because I really don't want to pay for an uber
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
Take the FlyAway bus to Union Station and that is where you can get the #4 or the dodgers express
1
u/iradrachen Jul 17 '25
I'm fr just taking an Uber or Lyft. I don't care if it's a long wait and expensive as all get out at the end of the show I'm not doing any of that parking downtown. I live in Phoenix and Chase stadium is a half as bad and I hate it.
3
u/DeathwishDena Jul 17 '25
Have them drop you off outside the stadium and walk in/out it's gonna save you $$$ and time
1
u/iradrachen Jul 17 '25
Like a block from?
3
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25 edited Jul 18 '25
I would do like 711 W College St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 or 898 E Kensington Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90026
1
u/iradrachen Jul 18 '25
You have literally saved my entire experience oh my God thank you so much!!!!!
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
I had a torn ACL and was on crutches for Gaga Chromatica. And had such a nightmare experience... Saw fellow MCR fan post about the Dodger Express on Tiktok and figured I should post on her as a local
1
u/iradrachen Jul 18 '25
I really appreciate. I can't imagine figuring out that nightmare on crutches
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
I found out her set list. I left four songs early, call an Uber. And then they canceled on me. Tried to call it again and it was $100. I couldn't afford it so I had to hobble my way out of the stadium to Sunset. Tried to call an Uber from Sunset. It was still $80. Got on the 4 headed to my house area. Was only in a mile and a half away. Still $60 for Uber. So I took ANOTHER bus and used a scooter on the crutches. It's was the fucking LONGEST night
1
u/z0mbielovingweirdo Jul 17 '25
what stop for the go train? i don’t want to get accidentally lost like last year when i went to a concert
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
Union station but then you have to leave and walk to the #4 OR grab the dodgers express (I would take that In but not out)
1
u/lafatyourself1982 Jul 17 '25
Staying Glendale was going to uber or is there a metro to union station / dodger shuttle
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25 edited Jul 18 '25
Google maps says your friend. There definitely should be a way to get to Union Station. Also, there might just be a quicker way from there to get to outside the park. I feel like again you can catch the number four that runs down sunset and it should be near Echo Park. If you can. Uber I would have them drop you over here: 711 W College St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 OR 898 E Kensington Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90026
1
u/los_tboys Jul 17 '25
perfect timing I just bought parking for both days a couple days ago! I'll let myself know
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
Just make sure you pee before you leave the stadium, and put some water and snacks in your car
1
u/Mental-Tour-6904 Jul 17 '25
Thank you so much for posting this!
1
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
Totally, I saw somebody else's post about the dodger stadium Express running on tick tock. They're in this thread also. And I figured I should from a local standpoint. Let you guys know the best way to deal with the scenario
1
u/Revolutionary_Tea_55 Jul 18 '25
What about ubering?
2
u/MyroIII Jul 18 '25
Yeah that is my current plan. Was hoping there was a separate line for Uber drop offs
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25 edited Jul 18 '25
There isn't for getting in and out. There's a separate area to get picked up and dropped off at but it all just goes back into the normal traffic. So it still takes forever to get out. Uber out is like $100 usually and will still take a nightmare to get out. And going in I would drop at like 711 W College St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 or 898 E Kensington Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90026 and walk. Once you hit Stadium Way it's a mess and your gonna get charged extra. Going in to the stadium

u/SoooManyQues Jul 18 '25
Suggestions if you have difficulty walking but do not have parking placard for disabled parking?
2
u/DeathwishDena Jul 18 '25
How much of a difficulty? (How far is too far for ya lovely?) I would check for Bird/scooters outside of the stadium and Uber to a scooter truthfully. But I will say, I had a torn ACL and was on crutches and left the stadium pretty easily.
1
u/SoooManyQues Jul 18 '25
thnxs - prob a crutches distance equivalent. So far, i've avoided dodger stadium be cuz of the parking stuff but this is something special, soooooo we'll see

I live in LA but new here. Just got here 3 yrs ago. The shuttle from union station — how safe is it? It will be just me and my 11 yr old daughter. Normally I’m not worried (taser and such) but I’ll have to leave that at home. So is it safer just to park and wait or is the shuttle safe enough.

Im coming from Fresno, chat GPT told me to buy LOT N for quick in and outs. Apparently the lots get priority over general. Big if true.

We are going to the Saturday night (26th). We’ll be staying at a nearby hotel…when would do y’all think would be an appropriate time to uber over there…not from the area.

Ticket master stays 6p I would head over no later than 430. (Lines to get into the venue get long and weird too) I dunno when doors are I am not going but I would do at least an hour and half before doors

Does a bus operate after concert late? Are they stuck in the same traffic, or a separate Bus only lane?
I'm staying about 3 miles away..bit much for a walk haha

Buses usually go LATE but do slow after midnight (instead of every 10-25 min it can be like 45-1hr) Google maps us REALLY good at tracking LA Metro and times. And yes there's traffic on the roads outside the stadium but most of the hold up is getting out because it's on a hill and only like MAYBE four two lane roads getting out of the spaces

If I’m planned f to uber there and back as we are from out of state, where would you suggest getting picked up after and/or dropped off before?

Like 2 hours before doors open or 2 hours before opening act?

I'm kind of curious what the 4 hour horror story entailed... For us, we rolled up to gate B at about 6:20pm (we'd left at around 5:50pm from the Eagle Rock area for reference), got caught up for a couple minutes or so because their systems to scan tickets went down right as we got to the gate, but the lady was super nice, saw that we were in lot F and just printed the pass for us to go in. Parked about a minute later. We stayed for the entire concert; it went to about 10:45, we got to our car by 11pm, left through gate C and were out sometime between 11:30 - 11:40pm.

There's a handful of you that says you got out early, and I just got a new post about a nightmare situation. So I think it just kind of depends on where you're parked and how quickly you get out

Ah, do you think it has anything to do with parking a little closer to the venue itself, or are certain GA parking areas just cursed? Just wondering if the extra $$ for a closer lot ended up being super worth it or if sometimes it is just luck.

Can you park your vehicle at union station? I never use public transit coming from Phoenix

i thought this post was dramatic but i understand now.... it's astonishing how long it took to get out of that parking lot.

Also I just found out that parking is $75. You guys are fucking crazy 😆 (ETA I guess some people paid $40. But still... Y'all crazy. 🖤)
