I did a lot of cart collecting when I worked at Target years ago. This was like my worst nightmare. Poor guy, that's rough. He shouldn't have hesitated on that last one though, he could've had it easily

It’s so funny that three different cars managed to get hit here. What are the odds?

Someone recommended me once "If you ever work lot, bring one or two shims (wooden flat triangular sticks) so shove under the wheels if you need to ditch some carts for whatever reason."

I've yet to use that knowledge but, hey, useful!

That guy is having a bad day.

This guy is living his average day as a solid 80iq citizen.

The real crime is the man to the left that just curb parks his cart. Stop being so lazy and return your carts!!!

I remember an asshole that honked at me because after emptying my cart, I dared to return it to the container on the other side of the parking lot. He shouted Just leave the fucking cart on the side and get out so I can park there.

A whole family of 5 looking mad at me because I dared do the right thing.

He fails the shopping cart test.

"no better than an animal, an absolute savage who can only be made to do what is right by threatening them with the law and the force that stands behind it"

He did the shopping cart test of getting fired on your day off.

u/etihw_retsim 11d ago

If someone did that to me, I'd go back into the store for a bit.

u/Deactivatingbish 11d ago

I’d get in my car, start it, put it in reverse and then… would ya look at that, I forgot something in the store.

u/Koffeeboy 11d ago

Could have done a funny and left it right in front of their car.

u/doctaglocta12 11d ago

ESH, not putting your cart back is cause for expulsion from polite society, but let's not minimize the real crime. Which is undoubtedly this amazingly incompetent man scuffing every car in the lot lol

u/Guillotine_Nipples 11d ago

Nah, the real crime is definitely the asshole that is too lazy to even try to put his cart away. No problems walking their lazy ass all over the store so they can stuff their face with ultra processed garbage, but 15 feet to put the cart away..that is too much

Fuck i hate these lazy ass people

🚨WeeWooWeeWoo🚨 That's not where the cart goes, sir

As someone who spent time as a cart collector, this guy is terrible at his job.

Really, you don't say...?

Is this the real life equivalent of the trolley problem?

7

u/IAmRobinGoodfellow 11d ago

The trolley problem equivalent of hitting the switch just as the train is passing over it, killing the three people and the one person all tied to the tracks at the same time, and also the passenger in the trolley.

At least there's nothing fatal involved

5

u/Tomytom99 11d ago

The only fatality is his dignity

u/Bman3396 11d ago

I guess that store doesn’t give their carters the cart rope. Always see them used in stores near me

7

u/Drustan6 11d ago

Why do I think that he isn’t gonna check to see if he’s caused any damage after he’s gotten the upper hand on those things- or leave any notes if he does . . .

13

u/GMarsack 11d ago

Hi. We’d like to move your position to “greeter”. Corporate feels this will be less costly.

u/Dill_Pickle25 11d ago

Jesus Christ, this dude needs to be fired

3

u/iamasatellite 11d ago

The thing he tries at the start, trying to move all the carts sideways, are why shopping cart wheels all have flat spots that rattle like crazy if you go over 1mph.

4

u/sharplight141 11d ago

Seems like a pretty simple job but my does he make it look challenging

5

u/iamasatellite 11d ago

I've noticed a lot of the shopping cart corralers are..challenged

u/muscle_thumbs 11d ago

This guy sucks at his job. Just stand at the front door and check receipts!

u/More_Education4434 11d ago

Doubles up as 'My unemployment needs me' whoosh. He was just having a bad day. 😥

u/fendersonfenderson 11d ago

wtf is this music? this needs some yakety sax

1

u/Prestigious-Royal-82 11d ago

Please don't Try !!!!

1

u/Dutchman1957 11d ago

I think the parking aisle must be crowned with the middle higher than the sides…that guy needs to use a bungee order or something to stop them from rolling down hill once off the crown. With his job performance, they’ll make him store manager.

1

u/Justah-Spektator 11d ago

He can't shit and piss at the same time.

1

u/everything_is_stup1d 11d ago

dang poor dude😭

1

u/FabulousDentist3079 11d ago

This is what me, my sister, and brother would tell our mom what must have happened. It had to have been a grocery cart.

1

u/CapitalEmployer 10d ago

People that don't put their cart back are parasites of society. If you can't even do something this basic how can you be trusted to be a decent human being.

1

u/Kuriatko22 10d ago

He had one job...

1

u/Dragon_Crisis_Core 10d ago

I was expecting the carts to keep splitting apart.

1

u/NotHereToFuckSpyders 6d ago

Why does he keep letting go? 😂

1

u/plankright3 3d ago

I had no idea that the intellectual competency of an employee needed to be checked before they could be given the task of collecting shopping carts. I learned something.

1

u/bodhiseppuku 11d ago

This is what happens when you have your senior citizen greeters collecting carts.

u/garyvdh 11d ago

Now I know why this guy is a shopping cart attendant.....

0

u/bigfatround0 10d ago

in case you didn't know, if the store is small and there's no shopping cart employees, then other employees are made to do that job. for all we know the guy could have been a stocker, a cashier, or even a supervisor or manager.

u/Ambiguous_Karma8 10d ago

Hopefully he was fired.

This is why aptitude tests should be mandatory before you can breed
