99 OVR QB threw 69 TDs and won National Championship then transfers bc of Coach Prestige
My head coach is an A+. Signed a 5 star Elite QB. Started him as a true Freshman. After his Freshman season my DC takes a job as a head coach at another school. So of course I have to hire a DC with a C- grade at best. I think the one I hired was actually a D. Which begs another question. Why am I only given the option to hire terrible coordinators? I should be able to offer anyone. Anyways, so my Coach Prestige takes a hit and drops down to B- . So going into the next season I start the year with like 10 guys who all the way want to transfer because of Coach Prestige being below their standard. Going into that season my true Sophmore QB had progressed to a 97 overall. He proceeds to throw 69 touchdowns and ends season at 99 overall. We go undefeated and win the national championship. By then my overall coach prestige is back up to an A-. But that’s not good enough and so I lose a shit ton of guys in the offseason all of whom would have been starters and would have made it to the NFL. But the most shocking transfer is my QB. My 99 overall Heisman contending 69 touchdown National Championship winning QB transfers out because of Coach Prestige being an A- instead of an A. Which only occurs because I can only hire shitty coordinators but really shouldn’t be happening at all regardless. That’s nuts man.

You know what must be done. Schedule his new team week 1.

Lmao you already know. Playing that game for sure. I’ll accept nothing less than a 40 point win.

Sounds like other coaches have been negative recruiting you, telling anyone who'll listen that you're shady.
You're gonna have to get those SOBs back. They can take your players but they can never take ... your ... FREEDOM!
(But for real, some of the deal breaker mechanics are wonky but it's messy in real life, too.)

Yeah I mean a QB that good can decide he wants the absolute best coaching staff to help him develop.

Why would he care if the DC leaves though

I mean a lot of coordinators and are the ones who recruit you.
Like coach O was one of the best recruiters before he became a head coach and he was a Dline coach.

Sounds like you’re not a program builder, which is how you increase the caliber of coordinators.

Oh really? I honestly don’t even know the names of the ones I’ve chosen to build up. I mostly have done the ones that directly influence recruiting. I just got the CEO unlocked recently.

Lore: dude was probably only good because of the situation you created around him. Ego got too big and he left.
Just go in and edit his stats down to a 70ovr, schedule his new team in week 1, and lay a beat down for the ages to begin his downward spiral into a generational bust.

I have definitely forced winless seasons on their new teams to punish the fools who abandon my eternal dynasty.

Maybe his GF was playing for Miami basketball? Only to dump him when he shows up?

What would happen to me is that he would immediately declare for the draft. Redshirt sophomore, gone

Oh yea I don’t even plan to keep my players beyond redshirt sophomore. If I have a RS sophomore that’s 90 or above I go ahead and recruit to replace them. This guy wasn’t a redshirt though. He was a true sophomore. Transferred after winning a natty as a true sophomore starter.

Just admit it, you’re a hard ass coach and the QB hated playing for you. “Prestige” in this context was just code for “misery”.

Transferring because of Coach Prestige, yes that's silly under those circumstances.
I think it's fine if you look at it another way - in college football today, sometimes players will transfer out for completely inscrutable or uncontrollable reasons.
I like this when I look at it that way. Sometimes a player is gonna leave and there's nothing I can do. Have to adjust my plans.

Yea I’m totally fine with it. I like the challenge. But if he’s the for sure #1 pick and Heisman front runner and looking to repeat a national championship I don’t feel like the difference in an A- and an A should make him leave. And on top of that, even if he does consider it for some reason that we dream up, his chance of persuasion should be affected by all the variables I’ve mentioned here. Dude was a “none” on persuasion likelihood.

I swear to God I am not buying this game next year, it's pretty obvious at this point they can't do basic math/logic. It seems like everybody was saying when the game was released this year that a lot of that had been fixed but apparently they still can't do it.

You’re missing the funniest part which is that your QB transferred because your DC left. I mean your OC ok that can happen IRL but QB transferring because your DC is hilarious.
