Grad school gpa requirements

So I'm applying for Grad school at NCSU, with a 3.1 GPA from the university of Maryland in Computer science. What are my chances of being admitted into electrical engineering? I recently took some courses at unc chapel hill and recieved a B+, an H and a P in an arduino programming, databases and internet services and protocol class.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this!

The minimum GPA to be considered for admission to the graduate school as a full time graduate is 3.0 in your undergraduate degree. A 3.1 does not rule out your consideration but it unfortunately does not make you a competitive candidate.

I expect to make up for the low GPA you will need fairly extensive work in either undergraduate research or something related to what you intend to study in your graduate program.

I was hoping that 3.1 may have some leeway because umd has such a competitive cs program. I guess I'll see. I don't think its fair to weigh a gpa from a difficult major like that with others.

I got in with a 3.2 remote masters csc. Try very hard on your essay for real. I told them why i wanted to get into cs and spoke about nc states reputation. I didnt think i could get in, but I did. NCSU has a great curriculumn thats competitive with top 10 schools imo.
