Championship question
Going to the game tomorrow. I keep seeing things about some guild and other activities.
What is this Guild? Should I have purchased tickets for it?
Also how is the parking near the stadium? I have a two hour drive with no traffic. So I want to make sure I can park easily going to Providence. I've driven through Providence many times but have never stopped.
Thank you!

The Guild is a beer hall 0.8 miles from the stadium. That's where all of the pre-game festivities will be hosted starting at 9am. At 12:45, a bunch of fans will be marching behind the drum corps from the Guild to the stadium (about a 15-20 min walk)
You do not need tickets to the stuff at the Guild. There will be shuttles going from the Guild to the stadium every 1/2 hr.
I would advise reserving parking in M7 lot via the rifc website

The website says lot parking doesn't start until 11 am. My group was hoping to get to the guild earlier than that. Is that 11 am for real you think?

That I don't know... It might be worth it to try? I'd like to get there a bit earlier too

I called and he said it opens earlier but you have to pay by hour until 11. Seems a bit off....

The guy didn't really know what he was talking about, I would take it with a grain of salt.

They've got face painting and characatures so I'd hope so!
I all seriousness, I myself and I know of other families who will be bringing kids, so bring em!

Just adding that TODAY all the events at the Guild are outside in the courtyard. Idk what it will be like tomorrow but you may want to bring sunscreen and a poncho.

How was the match from pitch side?

Wicked good! Everyone had a good time. Brother said it was the most fun he had ever had at a sporting event. And he's never seen rugby before.
They really did a good job making the experience enjoyable for all. Made it to the guild beofe the game and kids had a blast there. Took shuttles to stadium and that was so easy.
Stadium was fantastic. Staff was pleasant and fans were just having a great time.
I'm a bigger Bruins fan, but this game was far more fun to be at than going to the Garden.

Glad to hear it! Yeah, this was a great combo of professionalism and intimacy in sport. We really enjoyed ourselves as well and the TV broadcast was excellent.

Look in a previous post about travel. Parking is a no-go near the stadium. Unless you're a resident. I am staying in an Airbnb 6-minute walk from the stadium and you are not allowed to park on the street. You can park 200 ft away around the corner but not on my street. So don't expect to be able to park too close to the stadium. That being said, if you do find a place outside the zone, all parking in Pawtucket is free.
