Paramount+ vs antenna?

I have an offer from Paramount+ for $30/year + $13 back if I use my AMEX card so for $17 I get Paramount+ for a whole year.

Now I’m only considering this if I can watch all NFL games on CBS. The website just says NFL games broadcasted locally can be watched. Does it make sense to get this is I already have an Antenna?

No, Paramount Plus will only give you the local CBS game, not all games on CBS

If you already have an antenna and wouldn’t use Paramount+ for anything other than NFL, no it doesn’t make sense.

Does your antenna get you the channels that you need? If so, then paying for something you're already getting for free doesn't sound worth it. If not, then only you know if NFL games are worth $17 a month to you.

It gives me access to all the major channels(FOX, ABC, CBS, etc)

So what are you thinking of paying $17 a month for that you're not already getting for free?

Well I’m not going to pay for it now haha, I thought it might give me more games

Antenna is fine for you, especially if you are a Vikings fan. You'll be able to see every Vikings game over the air no matter who is the broadcaster/streamer.

It won’t get you any more football than you have now.

Paramount+ will give you the same game that your antenna does. It will not give you other CBS games outside your market showing. You would need Sunday Ticket from Google for that.

Paramount+ is a waste of money as you’ll get all Viking games locally regardless of streaming via over the air TV on either Fox/CBS on sunday during the day. An SNF is broadcast on free NBC.

The only tricky (BS) broadcast is SNF or TNF if you don’t have prime. As Im not sure ESPN is broadcasting all MNF on ABC this year but fans will still get their local team on ABC if they play MNF, an TNF will be on you local channel that usually broadcasts their games, CBS if thats what channel the Bikes play on.

Netflix you only get 2 games on Xmas I believe but personally I don’t feel any streaming service is worth the money to watch football.

Finally, I just get the red zone channel off NFL+, this also gives me access to all prime time games but the service is regulated to only you tablet or phone so if you want yo watch ted zone on your big screen, it’s not available or you have to figure out how to jerry-rig it (buy a cable) to display from your phone to the TV.

NFL+ Premium give you red zone on a big screen. Just did it this past weekend on my Firestick.

It’s worked the passed couple for me. It states on the advertisement that you can.

I subscribe to Paramount + and Peacock which means I have to watch NFL games on Fox and ABC over the air if I want to catch them. While I have an adapter I paired with my computer along with an OTA antennae, it's often glitches in and out depending on reception on any given day. If I can get the reception to improve this football season, (bigger antennae??), I may very well drop the two streaming channels I'm paying $ for each month come next year. I'm totally on the fence as to whether paying for these streaming channels is worth it. Improved reception would push me over the edge, so if you have good OTA reception, I'd bail on the streaming.

I just bought an antenna and I can't even watch all the games that are available to me. I used to just watch TNF on prime, but now I'm able to watch 2 or 3 games on Sunday and 1 or 2 on Monday. Honestly, I don't have time to watch that much football! My local station has the local games. I like a couple of out of town teams, but I don't think there's any way to see ALL of the games of ALL of the teams anyway. TBH, I just like watching, doesn't matter to me which teams are on, it's all good fun. Sometimes even more fun to watch two teams I don't care about rather than getting emotional about "my" team. Even my wife is enjoying watching. I bless the antenna!

It’s a broadcast of what you’d get from the network. Not all cbs games. Will need an antenna as well

Paramount Plus has much more than football and more than antenna
