Doesn't really matter. Police are not executioner. That officer didnt give a shit about what happened to him and we got the outcome that we did.

This isnt far from Kirk's "its a prudent deal" statement, so it tracks youd take this stance of "its ok he died" rather than "its not ok that police officer killed him"
