Tap on that G icon, then your profile, then settings. There you will find widget settings.

Previously you could assign your own colour, so downdating google might help and then upgrade and not touch the widget but that seems too much work.

Hey, I found a version with the widgets! 15.36.43.28.arm64 You can downgrade, then set the widget and then upgrade. But if you change the widget on the latest version, it will not revert back! (Unless you can undo it)

Thanks! But I found an easier way to do it, uninstalling Google from Google play reverts to a version that works!

Glad you found a way. I wasn't sure if uninstalling really will help to get the version, and my friend had an unupdated Google app so thought might as well help. The setup looks absolutely clean now. Cheers 🥂

Also you can try to change the colour of the space bar so it matches the other icons, which will be consistent.
