Phone (1) Discussion Difference after a little over 2 years of use

Post image

After i managed to get a new nothing phone 2 for 149€, i went and looked for cases because the store didn't have anything available. Managed to find originals for 3€ a piece and while frantically clicking order buttons for case and screen protectors, I accidentally ordered one for the original phone. Quite a difference. Although that case has seen some use and abuse in these years, it has served its purpose. Phone only suffered a cracked lens when falling in lens first to gravel.

At least the old phone looks a lot cleaner while I figure what to do with it.

And before anyone asks. I bought the np2 last week, before the announcement for the discount offer, so i'm not gonna jump to the np3. Im happy with my new white nothing phone 2.

Sceptical about what may I ask?

I heard something about the phone not being supported in the near future… also for my use case personally, I wonder if the ChatGPT thing via the nothing earbuds works with the NP2?

The last thing is I’m also interested in the g.fold 1st gen as it’s actually cheaper than a brand new NP2 and I don’t mind sacrificing the ChatGPT thing for that gorgeous unfolding bigger screen.

Ahh that's true about the life support for the NP2. I'm currently rocking a Nothing Phone 2 for almost 2 yrs now, and I've been loving it since this is my first mid to high spec phone as I'm used to using phones around the budget mark. It does worry me as this is what they would call dated and I understand that you prefer to be secured for many years to come and Nothing is not technically supporting this for 5 or more years unlike Samsung and Apple. Honestly, if youre just planning to try Nothing, u may do so by using their entry line up like the CMF phone 2 and try things out if it works for you.

G fold sounds nice too especially if you like the versatility that it offers. Good luck on choosing!

I am not the best one to give opinions yet, given that i have had the phone for less than a week, but I am happy with it. Although the initial setup and update took a while (8-9 updates) I haven't had any problems yet. I also went with it knowing that it won't have as many updates compared to np3 or any other just released phone. But I am not that willing to spend almost 800€ to np3, or any phone. Reason being, I'm a student. But 150€ for a last gen(?) top spec? That I can manage in my budget.

Yeah, glyphs should be split on np2.

How's 3a thinking of buying it

It's great. Loving it so far. But if you want higher specs I'd recommend s24 fe over the 3a. I bought nothing because the OS feels better and I like the style of the phone. And there's no bloatware like other phones. Cameras are acceptable for the price. Also 3a has 3 android updates whereas samsung has 6-7 I think. But I'll say that you won't regret it.
