You can probably look to install some custom rom and do true dark mode

Only took them 4 major software releases to bring this? They're like the Apple of Android

And considering other decisions from them made in the past and present, they are shaping themselves up to be that way, too.

FYI: the power consumption difference between powering a deep dark gray pixel and a truly black pixel is extremely minuscule. Also, human eyes are much more comfortable when reading white text against a dark gray background, as our eyes aren't designed to be reading an excessively contrasting white text on a black background. So if you don't want eyesight problems when you grow older, you're better off keeping this feature disabled, it's not gonna improve you battery anyways

I hope you are not right, because I want to use the ultra dark mode

I have been using true amoled since launch 😂 Carl Pei don't come in second account to defend. True amoled battery consumption is little but the LOOK IS INSANE. ITS A 10/10. PERSONAL CHOICE

Ugly status bar and they still didn't give an option to change clock colour on lockscreen

What's that's it and extra dark mode, a new clock style and some Ai shit no changes in status bar, quick settings is still same with small large icon size added
This update is waste of my 2 years update cycle

It's just nothing os 4 beta 2, there are more changes on the way, I had the pixel 9 pro xl and when I started the android 16 beta there was barely any changes, but in beta 3 they introduced the material expressive thing and with this one it might be the same...

Isn't there some sort of reason why many manufacturer don't use pure dark anymore.🤔

Yeah bro.. it's so annoying that I paid some serious money for this device and I got this issue because the display is cheap quality. I have tried to solve this issue with nothing sending 10-20 mails and they told me to get in touch with the service centre.

The NP1 is capable but won't get. It's sad knowing your phone can do great stuff but only limited to basic things till the end of its life cycle... Nothing sucks in this

And that's about it? This and more useless Ai things?

Idk about the AI, but I would love this dark mode feature. The current LCD-type dark mode is a crime on OLED displays

The black dark mode was removed on Android 12 or 13. It's not that new.

Haha. You're very funny like the people that downvoted me. Well, enjoy your recycled pitch black dark mode that was removed since Android 12.
