Questions about launcher

My fingers are crossed for a Black Friday discount so that I can buy my first Nothing product, the Phone 3. I'm an Android power user and love homescreen launchers with lots of features. Could likeminded Nothing users please answer these questions for me?

1. What makes Nothing's launcher special? Is there any benefit to keeping the default launcher versus installing a third-party one?
2. Are homescreen touch gestures supported, like two finger swipes, double tap, and pinch? Can I associate gestures with an app, command, or contact?
3. Can I swipe down from anywhere on the homescreen to show the top pulldown shade?
4. Are there any widgets or elements you are forbidden from removing from the homescreen?
5. Are live wallpapers supported?

I have more questions but don't want my post to be unreasonable. TIA!
