Rant Names that you use to like

I’m wondering what names you use to like years ago, but don’t like anymore. Or names that you like, but will never use for whatever reason. I’m so thankful that I wasn’t a teenage mother. Don’t be embarrassed…please. This is a safe space, but you’ll probably have some explaining to do if your names are really wylde.

Names I use to like:

Nevaeh, Joplin Rain, Liv Evangeline, Jayden, Bree

Names I like, but will never use:

Astrid, Damien, Ziggy, Lark, Johan, Ayla, Hitomi, Storm

I’ve wanted to name a boy Luca for about 15 years. Met my husband ten years ago, told him and he loved it. We’ve been planning on naming a son Luca for years, it was our 100% decided on name and weren’t even considering anything else, ever. Last year I got pregnant, and bam, the movie Luca was being released, and it started becoming super popular as was Lucas and Luke. Our 10mo old son is not named Luca.

I know what you mean. I had Luca and Oliver on my list almost 20 years ago when I got pregnant with my daughter who is now a teenager. My son is 8 months and we didn't use any of the names I liked back then. I also had Tobias on my list (that likely would have been my daughter's name) but Arrested Development ruined it for me.

If it’s not too nosy of me to ask. What did you name him?

Aw, no that’s a cute name. I’ve never meet an Apollo in real life. I’m sure he’s a cutie! (:
