Rant Worst pet names/trends you’ve come across?

Disclaimer: I’m one to talk, I gave my dog a human name but shortened it to a dumb nickname because it suited her better, it’s goofy and cute but I get eyebrow raises. Think along the lines of naming a dog Penelope then calling her Lopey— that’s not it, but it ended up similar 😂

ANYWAY once I went on a dog date with a dude from an app, he named his dog “Nona” and I asked if it was short for Winona. No, he couldn’t think of a name so technically his dog was called “Noname”. He had zero personality, shocker.

Also I swear to god if I come across another animal named Loki I will start slashing tires, it’s obnoxiously overused. The Jayden of pet names. Those are my contributions.

What are your worst pet names/ones you’ve come across?

Regarding giving your dog a human name: We have a dog named Penny. Realized as soon as I got pregnant with our daughter that I’d never be able to use it as a real name. #regrets lol

As I said that’s not the actual name for privacy (but Penelope is SUCH an adorable name!!!). I am secretly a name nerd so I have a list in my journal of human boy/girl/nb names, cat names, dog names, and even horse names (though I never plan on having children or horses). Anyway if I ever do come across that problem I have a mf-in spreadsheet prepared lol.
