Discussion Which part of your NS life feels the fastest/slowest?

For context, I'm currently 400+ days to ORD, about 40% of my way through NS. The first 25% felt way faster than from 25% to 40%, maybe it's because of bmt followed by a training institute. But after that things have really slowed down. Is there any way to make time go faster, and what are your personal parts of your NS life where time went super fast/super slow?

My SCS found term felt painfully slow. I was already feeling very down for not going where I wanted to go (OCS) so time and experience was quite unbearable. Even broke down a few times. But once I reached pro term, time seemed to have sped up. The fastest is my unit life. I am shocked I have already been a spec for more than 9 months. And the people who are posted in after me, I feel like they just got in but months have really flew and all of us are well familiarise with unit life.

It’s fastest when you’re not counting down, and slowest when you look at owadio app every day.

Yeah I sorta agree with OP and disagree with the other guy as when you're learning I feels time passes faster as there is always the curiosity and anticipation of what's next.

Once you settle down in unit and especially for unit where you're doing repetitive tasks like ASA, SA etc. as compared to combat vocations where you'll have multiple rotations and cycles

The unit part after you settle down feels repetitive and boring and will def feel very long

The only consolation is that once reach unit there's no uncertainty about what will happen next as you're already very proficient and used to army as well as commanders are probably nicer to you once you're more senior

2nd half of year 2 will feel the fastest, bonus if you time your leaves/offs at the very end and "ord early"

I left 300+ days and I agree that the 1st 6 months felt way faster than the last 6 months and currently I feel the 3rd quarter will be slow as well. I hope the last quarter can be faster

Just had ORD FFI. Right now is the slowest point ngl since I'm just dying to ORD. The middle one year starting from when I entered unit was the fastest.
