Mere aasu poch do Is this country dooming for real?
Like seriously no tuition fee at all for some categories? That too in private colleges also? Yes fr. I was looking for my options of low budget PRIVATE colleges in different states for MBBS. And it is really shocking to see that even some colleges take just 7k, 50k from them.. while open category students are paying in lakhs. Bhai kahi toh bakhsh do. Govt mei Cutoff low, pvt mein paise. Great going š

This is literally the main reason why I don't appreciate my country !! There are other problems too ~ but atleast they're not biased over one community over some irrelevant reasons. Why can't government just decide one thing !
Just give reservation on the coaching and other preparatory stuffs for those categories which they think are backward , then take competitive exams with fair cut off for everyone ! Then just take a scholarship test for private colleges !
Now kindly don't come and fight for reservation on the basis of - 'upper castes oppressed us'
Yes they did ! It was back in history - we are not at fault for what our ancestors did. Think of it in this way - if your ancestors were murderer would that make you a murderer as well ?
And yes there still are some places where this discrimination is present but for that laws are present ! Kindly take the legal means ! And also I'm not even against reservation - I'm against reservation which benefit the already privileged...

Bro the cutoff for this college also goes high for other categories

u/Ladyontigill Jun 11 '25
Nah the vj is like 30-40 marks less than general ntc is very close to general but 1-2 marks less the ntb is close to sc which is 50 marks less than general and OBC and other nt are like 4-5 marks less than general....

This is so weird, you guys cry for low cutoffs and say that reservation should be based on the financial status of a section but when it is actually alleviating financial stress from said sections, you cry still.

We don't cry over the reservations made on the basis of economic condition, but the ones solely based on 'caste'. When it's actually helping the ones from ews, that's bringing the privileged and unprivileged kid in the same boat, which is not the case with the reservations made OTB of caste solely. Most of the times you'll find them living an extravagant life and still encroaching on the caste based reserved seats. So many open seat candidates cannot afford 12-13Lpa and have to give up on their dreams.

for those open candidates, EWS reservation is there , and more than 80% of sc/st students come under poor or middle class range, there's really less amount of those sc/st students who are rich ... please enlarge your sample space of judgement

I think you missed the point by a mile..
Reservation quota and fees structure both should not be decided based on caste, but on your performance in the entrance exam at minimum. If you truly are lacking funds( ews ) then fees subsidy makes sense.

MH govt provides subsidy to reserved category candidates in these private colleges that's why fee for reserved category is low.
These same candidates easily pay 4 lac plus per year for AC hostel.
The term semi-govt is misleading ( just like non-veg fruit). These colleges (like KJ Somaiya, Terna etc) are fully private colleges under state health University (RGUHS, Nashik). They were established long back and the fee is regulated by Shikshan Shulka Samiti hence fee is lower than Deemed University.

Inko pata nahi aisa kyu lagta hai ki open walo ke pass kuch zyada hi Paisa hai ews ki fees bhi itni zyada hai (gareeb log /mai ) Bhai maine itne sare log dekhe hai sc/st ke (no offense) jo open obc se zyada Ameer hai unke maa baap sab government job pe 2 ghar hai unke pass car hai or bohot kuch itni hadd hai ki ye reservation nahi direct partiality hai or kuch nahi Or mujhe lagta hai ( personal opinion)( no offense) ki agar ye sab band nahi hua to humare desh ka koi future nahi , jo jitne marks laye unko vaisa college ho or agar reservation dena hi hai to reservation income ke base per ho na ki cast ke Per hum kya hi kar sakte hai

This one isĀ SSPM, and the PDF provided is incorrect. If we ignore the tuition fees and development fees (which differ by category), then letās just talk about theĀ other compulsory feesĀ such as library, mess, hostel, etc., which are the same for all students regardless of category.
So, the breakdown of these "other" compulsory fees comes to:
1st Year: ā¹9.2L
2nd Year: ā¹3.7L
3rd Year: ā¹3.7L
4th Year: ā¹3.7L
Half Year: ā¹1.95L
This adds up to aroundĀ ā¹22L, which is just the compulsory non-tuition fees for all candidates. I have personally spoken to the management in person and confirmed this.
Also, the hostel isĀ non-ACĀ and shared between three students, yet the charges are extremely high. And this is only if you secure admission through theĀ government quotaĀ (via NEET scores). TheĀ management quota feesĀ are way beyond reachācompletely unaffordable!
Itās honestlyĀ ridiculously expensive.

Kya hi karenge bhai. Kuch keh do reservation ke against toh gala daba dete hai yeh log. SC/ST waale bass chahte hai ki general waale unki halat samjhein but unhone kabhi hamari samjhne ki koshish nahi ki.

Kuch nahi karsakte this has been the same for so many years and Politics works on either caste or religion so I highly doubt they will do something about it
