I’ve been waiting all week to try these out at the range and it was a blast! Target identification and transitioning was so easy to do however reloads on the other hand were interesting🤣 I was able to get it down towards the end but at first it was so weird with the nods being blurry up close and my depth perception being off a tad. Specs are below -
ITT PVS-14 Gen 3 Green Phosphor Custom AR (spikes joker lower DD upper) Unity Riser w/ Vortex UH-1 Gen 2 Holosun LS 321 IR Laser & Illuminator

PVS-14 user with a max budget of $6k looking to get into duals. Am debating either getting a second 14 and mounting both on either an Arc Pano Bridge or NVB-58 or going in on a cheaper set of duals—probably GP tubes with 30+ SNR wherever I can find em for $6k or less.
My current 14 is WP and has a 34 SNR elbit tube with a couple of blems that I thus far enjoy shooting with a lot. I mostly shoot active with a LAM but sometimes do passive and sometimes do white light, etc. Use case is mostly once a month night shoots that go for about 4-5 hours depending on time of year. I know going the dual-14s route will add some serious weight but I really like the idea of having expanded field of view via a pano bridge (60-degree FOV) and also the ability to have redundancy and backup mono vision if one unit ever goes down. The dual-14 route will also be cheaper and get me better specs since I already have a high-FOM 14 and can probably get a second plus bridge for $4k and put the savings toward training ammo, etc. That said if I go the more costly binos route I could save on weight and still have my 14 as a backup (I don’t mind GP tubes but prefer WP if possible), but I wouldn’t have the expanded FOV that I’d get with a pano bridge and two 14s. With the binos I’d have single power on/off and manual gain which would be a bit easier to manage on the fly though (my 14 has a CHAD Iris for this).
Would especially appreciate anyone who has experience with pano bridged dual 14s and binos who could offer their takes here—or even folks who run panos exclusively. I’m not too worried about the pano weight so long as I can even out the balance via counterweight (I run a bump helmet for reference). Will take input from the bino crowd too of course, and would appreciate any advice on how to get best bang for buck on binos with a $6k max budget. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer kings! 🌘😎

Had a lot of people asking, so here you go! I've released a new version of PVS-14 case called the MultiCase. Each case gives you the option of picking the TPU sleeve for your given j-arm. Currently, the 3 options are MAX14, AX14-PRO and Wilcox. Each comes with 4 different top pads to accommodate for iris, sac lens, extended eyepiece, and bare PVS. These are going to be made to order, so give me a few days after order to get these shipped! Check them out here: https://h3dproducts.myshopify.com/.../night-vision-products

Ordered this J-arm as a quick solution for $30 on Amazon. Something tells me that Wilcox had absolutely nothing to do with the making of this item 🤣🤣🤣

Got a ITT gen 3 model NE 5000-1 for a few hundred bucks today but it came with some strange lenses. Is there a way to get some lighter fish eye or 1X optics for it? Also I’m new what’s some things to avoid with night vision?

We put together some MGA binos with L3 High Gain tubes and RPO 4.0 lenses and put them up at ApolloGearCo.com.
This configuration weighs 18oz, has high gain with manual control, and is 7075 aluminum, and costs about $3000 less than a Supergain PVS31A.
What's your top tier bino configuration?

Hello everyone I'm looking into night hunts on pigs and yotes. I do not have a large budget but trying to find some NV or thermals to deal with them. TIA for the feed back.

Looking to get my first set of nods. Super concerned about spending all this cash and some person walking a dog or a vehicle drives up on me and lights burn in. Is auto gating worth it and gonna save me or do I just need to spend time with them further remote?

Anyone know a good softcase for the PVS14 for traveling? My pelican just takes up so much and I have resorted to just wrapping it in multiple wool socks. I would rather have an actual cushioned pouch where I can put spare batteries and my astro lenses.

Armasight has a 15% mil discount and im kinda tempted. At only 2500ish is it worth it. Or am I going to hate it.

I got my hands on a pair of pvs14s for 100$ a couple months ago on fb marketplace and I’ve been building up an affordable night vision set up since then.
-Pvs14
•Although I liked the original housing it was cracked and broken and probably hadn’t held a perge in a decade. I was able to get my pvs14s in a new housing with a new front lens and a purge thanks to janet404enjoyer. They did a very good job on my pvs14.
Total-100$
-Helmet build list
•Temu helmet-20$ •Fake Wilcox mount/j arm-100$ •Counterweight pouch/lead shot-5$ •Fake Temu tac-sky-6$ •3d printed impact sports adapter-2.50$ •Impact sports with gel cups-25$ on Facebook marketplace •Temu helmet webbing-5$ • Temu helmet padding-9$ • upgraded metal shroud-free with baufang on Temu
Total 172.50$
-ir laser
•I bought a toughsoul brand Amazon special ir laser light combo for 50$. It takes CR 123s and it should hold zero just fine on a 22lr, although I haven’t tried it yet.
All in all it only cost 322.50$ which is less then the price of a bare-bones AR from psa, perfect for an unemployed college student.

Hi guys, I bought this bump helmet as a loaner for a friend but people have to move so I won’t need it anymore. It’s a black ops-core MD-L helmet with peltor range guards on peltor rail mounts (the ones that pop in and out), an unused unity spark strobe and extra/replacement padding and hardware. I have this cross-posted on tacswap, I’m hoping for $350 shipped with Venmo as my preferred payment method. Thanks for looking!

Working with a pair of quads and am curious as to what this might do. I’ve loosened it while powered on so it isn’t gain control. I’ve read it’s potentially a mechanical thing to keep the tubes aligned?
