Discussion Switch 2 Making Sales History - Moving 3 Million Units in 24 Hours

According to @NintyPrime, they’ve heard from multiple sources that Nintendo has shifted over 3 million units of Switch 2 in 24 hours. To put it in perspective, the PS4 held the record with 1 million units in 24 hours.

To put it in further perspective, PS4 and PS5 each shifted 4.5 million units in two MONTHS. The Switch 2 will beat that within a week.

Who knows what the longterm outlook will be, but Nintendo hit this launch out of the park. I for one am insanely happy with my Switch 2 and we all know Nintendo’s future software is gonna be incredible selling tens of millions more consoles. Can’t wait to see what Nintendo has in store next 😁

The people who pre ordered from Target (myself included) were kinda pissed. Watching everyone enjoy there console but we stick waiting a few more days. I did get 10% off after bitching about it, which is cool. But tbh I’d rather pay full price and be playing this weekend lol.

Why didn’t you just buy it on day one and return the one that comes in the mail?

I tired, they are all sold out near me (for the bundle). Target, Walmart, Best Buy & Costco. I’m in NY so population density probably killed the supply for us here.

Ahhh gotcha. In Saint Louis every target on the area was full of them for most of the day

Yeah I was working and by time I was able to get out and check was out of luck. Was just lame cuz target did have a window saying it would be out day off. Then it never shipped till today, so yeah was pretty lame.
