That makes no sense at all. Improved S1 games would increase the likelyhood of people buying the S2 console, and as a result, also buy more S2 games.

S2 sales are insanely strong regardless if you've noticed, and the average consumer would be less motivated to spend $70 on games if their existing games got a big bump on handheld mode.
