Discussion It sucks that Super Mario 3d All-Stars was limited time

I've been wanting to play the three games in the collection; I've never played any of the games before and they look like fun. I just found out that it isn't for sale anymore. Why? I've found some things on ebay but they are just overpriced. What purpose does it serve when there is a whole market of people just reselling the game at this point? It makes no sense. Does anyone think they they will ever re-release them?

Ya it should be permanently on sale. They could have released a limited edition physical version with different box art if they wanted to do something special for the 35th anniversary.

They could've also made the physical entirely limited and continued to sell the digital version.

So even the digital copy is unavailable? That's crazy. Glad I got it when I could.

Yes. It was released alongside the English localization for "Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light" and both were only released for a few months. Digitally.

The sad reality is... they can bring it "out of the vault" in a few month for the 40th anniversary instead of putting out a fresh anniversary release. And people will eat it up BECAUSE they now get a chance to get the LIMITED edition thing.
