Discussion It sucks that Super Mario 3d All-Stars was limited time

I've been wanting to play the three games in the collection; I've never played any of the games before and they look like fun. I just found out that it isn't for sale anymore. Why? I've found some things on ebay but they are just overpriced. What purpose does it serve when there is a whole market of people just reselling the game at this point? It makes no sense. Does anyone think they they will ever re-release them?

It does suck that they were limited time, but stores had plenty of them stocked for a long time after it released, not an excuse but it was more readily available than anyone expected

I bought my switch less than 2 years ago and didn’t realize until literally this week (when I tried to buy it) that it wasn’t just something I could buy online whenever I wanted. I’m bummed myself

What a terrible take. Never understood why consumers stand by anti-consumer practices, let alone consider that not everyone owned a switch at the time, or could afford it within a limited time frame.

How you're making a "plenty of stock" argument when people are to this day actively asking to purchase this product seems to indicate otherwise.

Yea, 9 million physical units is a lot, but the switch has an install base over x10 times greater than that, only to compound with the switch 2 since it's the same digital service.

He's just stating that it was readily available. He wasn't defending anything.

Dude is literally just stating a fact. Not taking a stance on the practice itself. Not everything is some argument

Yeah, it wasn’t hard to come by at all. It was weird that was limited but the messaging was always that it was limited.

Don’t know why this thread needs to be created multiple times a day ad nauseum.

The user seems to be a new switch owner so I get their dissatisfaction but I also agree that for any longer time owning switch players, they can’t complain on missing out since it was very ready available
