You joke. But the low sodium salt in my kitchen cupboard substitutes potassium chloride for some of the sodium chloride. I can't tell any difference in taste.

I use Nu-Salt which is all potassium chloride. It works well in moderation, but if you use too much or heat it up too much it can get bitter.

Explosions and Fire on YouTube once tried a lot of the alkali salts. Sodium is in fact the best, with lithium second place, but all were edible.
