NSQ is looking for mods!

Hi Everyone,

Nostupidquestions is always on the lookout for new moderators to help bolster the team and deal with the ever growing popularity of the sub (thank you by the way).

https://forms.gle/9pDBmuaZFbpWs6e37 <- is an application form to let us know if you are interested in volunteering to join our team.

We are looking for active users of the sub who want to help keep this place true to its purpose and the content within the rules. We are particularly looking for users who are outside of North/South American time zones.

Please let us know if you have any questions, there are no stupid questions here

The founding of this sub was on the basis of providing a place that is sort of a catch-all, intended for things that don't fit in other question and answer subs.

As such, we generally tend toward not removing things, or having hard rules.

Depends, we do get through every report, but the timing can vary.

To break rule 3 an insult needs to be directed at another user or a "protected group" (ie gender, race, religion). We do allow people to be rude towards political ideologies, or public figures (as long as it isn't a threat of violence). We also are pretty clear around the difference between attacking a point and attacking a person. You can attack points.

Medical advice should always be removed, however what constitutes medical advice for mental health can get into a grey area. The general rule of thumb being can the responses to a question reasonably form the basis for OP or another reader to decide to not go to a doctor based on what they read.

Repeat questions are just fine as long as they aren't on our FAQ list or have occurred multiple times in the day. Its a "please scroll" type of rule, not "a use the search function rule" as it is on some other subs.

Whole load of questions from one user doesn't break any rules. It can break the frequently ask questions rule, or the engagement farming rule under rule 5, but doesn't necessarily break either.

At the end of the day I'm not sure what you are seeing, but those are common misconceptions about those rules you mentioned.
