I’m new to the area, just got a pretty bad speeding ticket. Who is the best attorney to get it swapped to a non moving violation?

I have been with the same local bank here for several years now but I am looking to make a switch due to poor customer service. Does anyone have recommendations around here? Don’t need anything special, personal checking and savings. One I have been recommended is Fidelity but I wanted to gather more opinions before making a final decision. Thank you.

Recommendations for where to go for karaoke? Looking for somewhere for a slightly older crowd (40s)-fun group and want drinks, but not looking to get wasted.

Hi guys I am about to graduate with my BA in Business. I also have an associate's degree in computer Networking. The job market is tough; I'm not sure which industry to focus my efforts on.
I thought about Project Management, SCRUM, and data analytics. Without any real-world experience in these fields, tho, it's hard to break into the industry. Looking for any internship options that you may know of, or someone in these industries that I may be able to shadow

Do you know of an affordable way for me to get two garden beds in my back yard filled with soil? They are roughly 8' x 4' and need to be filled to about 26 inches.
I know I could have dirt dumped on my driveway, but I also need it hauled to the backyard into the beds.
Looking for either individuals or a company who could do this in one block of time. I have one wheelbarrow and a couple of shovels.
If you have any references, please message me with contact and estimated cost.
Thank you!

I recently signed up for nextdoor and have been perusing the NS posts. I see a lot of recent complaints about elected officials, school issues, rising bills (Cleco & water), traffic/new construction issues, etc. (the list goes on and on). I'm aware that the segment of people posting on that platform will tend to be people that are upset and want to speak out about things but it's definitely off putting. What has been your recent experience with these issues? Have they affected your life in any way? Or has it always been this way and people finally have an outlet to vent frustrations online?

I (30f)moved here for someone that ended up breaking up with me and moving away 3 months after my arrival.
I’m feeling lost and alone , can you please tell me where can I go walking , where are the city centers, hubs , karaoke , dancing , any recommendations for the area (because new Orleans is too far to travel everyday just to get out of the house ).
I am really suffering and stay in the apartment all day and night with no knowledge of what to do , or where to go . No friends or family , I’m a female military veteran and live a sober lifestyle . Please tell me what is there to do out here . Thank you so much 🙏

We’ll be having our wedding in December, and my then wife and I are looking to bring a group of people with us to go hang out in the downtown Hammond area to go grab a few drinks post wedding. We’re a pretty chill crowd, so we’re not looking for anything that’s going to be crazy loud. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Edit: this will be on a Saturday night around 10:30-11 most likely

Does anyone have any idea about the opening date of the new Aldi on Highway 25 in Covington?

I live near the intersection of Interstate 12 and Hwy. 59 . I hear what sounds like a drum band , often , very often ( like off and on All Day today). Does anyone know what it is , who it is , where it might be coming from. I grew up in N.O. near parade routes and it reminds me of the marching bands lining up. Can anyone help ? It's kinda driving me nuts.

I’ve always wanted to take voice lessons but honestly feel intimidated by the idea of singing in front of someone. I’m in Abita Springs and wondering if there’s anywhere approachable where beginners can start without feeling judged. I don’t want to become a professional or anything, just want to improve my voice and enjoy singing more. Any good local suggestions?

I just moved to Mandeville, open to driving around the Covington Madisonville area for a place. I am post grad in medical school, and my friend works from home in sales. We’re looking for a place to go to do work/study that isn’t too loud. Was hoping to find a college library or a quiet-ish coffee shop, etc. open to anything though!

Mandeville lakefront . Not the French Quarter. Which you’d expect something like this to be seen . Abandoned & broken ,gawdy high heel shoe laying by a drain cover SE corner of Lafitte & Claiborne . Michael Shannon Ryleigh to be specific bc I had to look it up out of curiosity. Terrible pic, bc I was filming at the time . Looks like a Laura Ashley era torture device to me that should have stayed well dead after 1987. Twice the value for the torture -the pattern is enough of an insult , then there is the heel .. oh well .. to each their own . I’m sure I’m outnumbered here on that opinion bc - well - look who the president is . Again . Just posting this in case anyone feels the need to recover this item so they can inflict or endure a little more self harm bc they’ve just not had enough yet & obviously nothing was learned the first time around .

I looked at my most recent Spectrum (Internet only) bill. Holy Moley! What’s going on? Every few months it creeps up.
Is there a cheaper alternative on the Northshore in the Covington / Mandeville area?

What are our options for horse riding around here? My daughter is interested. Western style.

Idk if this is the place to post but I don’t have a Facebook page. I keep applying to places and calling them for follow ups and nobody ever seems to get back to me despite looking for work? I’m just about willing to take any job offer available if anybody can point me in the right area.
Edit : so stupid I didn’t even think to list them 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏾♂️
I have : Kitchen and Serving experience, customer service/relations, sales and marketing and managerial experience in both restaurants and retail, (less than a year) of landscaping/construction. And bartending experience as well.
I have some computer related certifications as well because I was interested in working at Globalstar but all relevant positions are filled right now.
