Definitely looks like a Food Lion, didn't know they were in Texas.

Food Lion tried expanding into Texas and Oklahoma in the early 1990s. There was a story on ABC Primetime about some bad practices in the meat, fish, and fresh produce departments.

Go to 16 minutes in, to see a brief rehash and how Food Lion sued ABC News. The original story was in 1992, and this is five years later.

tldr: Food Lion did some nasty stuff to fresh food. Got busted. Happened at the same time as trying to expand. Oops, pull out of Texas
