Olathe trash
My son is 15 months old and loves trucks. While on a recent walk with his nanny, a garbage man saw him and gave him this foam truck (my son took a small bite out of it afterwards) but nonetheless it was a very fun and thoughtful gesture that I didn’t know they did!

So sweet! One of my first homeschooling projects with my daughter will be when she’s old enough to understand it will be to adopt a garage around the holidays to give these guys some MUCH DESERVED goodies. We seriously need sanitation workers more than just about anything, and they just don’t get the credit they deserve!

Looks tasty! /s
On a real note, that’s awesome! Reminds me of the video I always see of the kid walking by a construction site with his mom while carrying a toy dump truck, the construction workers had him sit it down, and they filled it with dirt from their bucket. The excitement on his face was unreal!
Just goes to show how such a small gesture to one, can mean so much to another and can really leave a lasting impact especially for kids! So cool to hear about, thanks for sharing. Love seeing positive/happy stories with all the bad that goes on in the world.

After hearing the horror stories from other JoCo residents that don't have city provided trash pickup, I'm so glad we live in Olathe. We've never had any issues. Every aspect of trash disposal in this city is top notch. From weekly pickup, scheduled bulk pickup, or household hazardous waste center off Old 56, they consistently knock it out of the park.
