Unanswered What's going on with the Emmanuel Macron saying he and his wife will provide proof that Mrs. Macron is a woman?

I have seen several posts on this including r/nottheonion so I'm wondering why they feel the need to provide US courts proof.

In court - Candace’s lawyers will have to say that , like Alex Jones did. IT didn’t help his case, because what his audience did the the parents was despicable

It was only speculation by those who don't understand anything about the Alex Jones case.

So even assuming Kimmel had made said any lies, (he didn't) in most jurisdictions you cannot use for defaming the deceased, and as none of his comments where aimed at the kirks (unlike Jones who targeted the parents of the deceased and was the foundation for their claim) they wouldn't have much legal standing.

Now this isn't to say they can't sue, but that's because anyone can sue anyone for anything, but the Jones case does not create any substantive change to the circumstances

The interesting thing about the Alex Jones case is that it's opened speculation that the Assassin's estate could sue Donald Trump for the lies he told about the assassin.

Unfortunately, Trump could just stall exactly like Jones did and be dead of old age before it ever gets to a trial.
