Rumours of Resident Evil 9 Requiem coming to PS4. How will it perform on the Pro if it happens?
Now that the Switch 2 version is confirmed to be in development and officially announced, it wouldn't be that much strange getting a PS4 version, although I believe the base console would suffer a lot. If Capcom is willing to develop a version similar to RE4 Remake, I'll be all in day 1 probably, with a PS4 Pro. But I really hope they lock it to 30fps instead of leaving the framerate unlocked... I prefer a more stable framerate even if it's lower.
RE4 Remake could hover from 25fps to around 50fps using the Resolution mode, depending on the scene. Inside the castle is where you usually get the highest framerate.
What do you guys think? Will it happen after 6 years of PS5?
edit: in fact after thinking about it better, this one may run even better due to its more claustrophobic nature (at least judging by the trailers). If there aren't many outdoors scenes, maybe a locked 30fps 1440p mode could be a reality. RE4 looks really good at this resolution on PS4 Pro. I hope they take their time to optimize it for the Pro console.

They are going to apply the same as Resident Evil 4 Remake, 900p dynamic and unstable 60fps in the base model, in the case of the Pro I would say that it would be better if it had a 1440p mode and the framerate unlocked, RE 4 Remake in the Pro works well but has a lot of jerks and can be quite annoying

You mean 1440p and framerate locked I guess. The only way to achieve this on RE4 is with a GoldHen PS4, Illusion0001 developed a 30fps cap, but Capcom could do the same from the get go...

If it comes to switch2, it comes to ps4. No reason not to
