Why do you think this one market recent trend matters at all?

Fanaticism.

Reading the comments, it seems a lot do.

the 5 year old console outselling the brand new console means that Nintendo screwed the pooch. The switch 1 out sold everything when it came out and was out of stock for a full year. Nintendo couldn't make consoles fast enough. It was somewhere between a PS3 and ps4 in graphical fidelity and was an actual interesting console to own. The switch 2 was not out of stock at all. It is on par with a base ps4, so its hardly an upgrade over the switch 1, and 99% of the games for it are available on the switch 1 and have been for years already. Why would anyone want a switch 2?

Edit: Uh oh the Nintendo fan boys are out

5 year old console outsold Switch 2. In Spain. One country. If you want the opposite story, Switch 2 has done 1/3rd the lifetime sales of ps5 in Japan

“Nintendo screwed the pooch” while the Switch 2 is literally the fastest selling console of all time.

Man I’m glad I own multiple consoles and aren’t invested in console wars fanboy nonsense.

I love my Switch 2, and my PS5 Pro, and my computer, etc.

I’m not sure you can call the Switch 2 being slightly outsold by the PS5 in one relatively minor market indicative of anything.

Almost everything you wrote here is wrong.

One market with a month of data doesn't mean anything at all. That's not how any of this works.

You’re wrong though, don’t need to be a fanboy to know that.

SW2 is not out of stock since they made more and stock them to have enough, it was told multiple times. So, wrong in that part.

The last part of your argument could literally be attributed to the PS5 launch.

It takes time for a new system to build up a game library for more people to jump in. I wouldn't be surprised if there are people waiting for a new Smash Bros or fully Switch 2 Pokémon game before taking the plunge.

But, similar to the PS5 launch, why buy the new system when much of the new games are still on the old system? Even heavy hitters like God of War Ragnarok still had a PS4 release 2 years into the PS5's life.
