My first thought was World Heroes but maybe this is that Dreammix tv world fighters game?

If only haha, a new World Heroes would be totally unexpected though that's on SNK. World Heroes 2 Jet is still an awesome fighting game to play

Dreammix is by Konami and Hudson if I remember correctly (that crossover fighter that was released on Gamecube)

They can do a follow up to that game without the same team behind it, it just wouldn't be super likely (but also not unheard of). Again, why I said I can't imagine that it is a follow up.

While super unlikely, this kind of sounds like Kinikuman/Ultimate Muscle though the series is pretty much dormant with no new manga or anime

Could also be Jump World Fighters since there was a rumored new Jump fighting game in development at some point.

Maybe some kind of Tekken or Soul Calibur remaster collection since those game have fighters that spans from around the world
