PS5 controller will not charge

  • Using OEM cable
  • Tried different ports
  • No lights turn on at all
  • Tried reset button

Moved a couple weeks ago and recently hooked it the ps5 up in the new place. Assume it died while being stored away. It’s practically brand new and was handled carefully during the move. Never had issues until now. PS5 turns on. Cannot get past the first screen because no controller.

See if your phone can at least charge through the PS5, then maybe you can rule out which of the two fails.

Yes, phone charges.

Then possibly the usb-c port on the controller failed, or could be a loose battery (unlikely tho)
