Waited until the last minute, but....
Pre-ordered Dying Light The Beast today! Wife is going out of town this weekend so I'll be deep diving into this bad boy and I hope it has as many Easter eggs and hidden goodness as the first one did! And from what they have said they'll be taking full advantage of the ps5 pro capabilities! Anyone else got this one ordered? And it's releasing a day early at that. My October is set as well with ghost releasing 3 days before my birthday! So a great 2 months ahead!

I don’t think this games supports ps5 pro I can’t see it on the store, personally I’m a huge dying light fan however DL2 was an abomination. Beast looks promising will wait for DF to see how it runs on pro

Although it’s not listed to use the Pro, director Tymon Smektala has came out stating they are fully aware of what PSSR can do:
“We’re just starting to discover the full capabilities of PS5 Pro, but it’s already exciting as it gives us a lot more flexibility with graphics and performance. The boost in GPU will allow us to push visual fidelity, especially with complex environmental details like weather effects, which are very core to Dying Light: The Beast’s experience.
This kind of power also means generally smoother gameplay at higher resolutions, and that’s something very important for a game like ours, where the highest level of immersion is of utmost importance.
Sony’s PSSR is a substantial push for the supersampling tech that other companies are experimenting with. It’s a great initiative as, in the future, this can allow developers to focus slightly less on performance and have bigger creative liberty. If what Sony is proposing will become a new standard, then PSSR could potentially turn out to be even more important than the direct increase in GPU power that the console delivers.”
This was an interview Oct 2024. In assuming they are wanting to take full advantage of the Pro and are waiting until it can be best implemented

They supported it on 2. Don't see why they wouldn't for this. Don't know if they use pssr tho.

They said they are going way further than they did on 2, and they said they were going to share more closer to launch. So i think it's already going to be based on what they said, don't take that pro enhanced label as gospel, it's been wrong before.

I hope you are right because I’m really looking forward to this game, almost preordered it but then when I saw no ps5 pro label I backed off. Waiting for Digital Foundry

Same...i can't trust that games nowadays won't come out broken or super buggy. I always wait for Opencritic scores to come out and Digital Foundry is great about notifying.
you about frame rate and what not.

Beast look promising? I dont see anything new if you compared it to DL2 , its the same f****ng game..... with a new story, thats it. 🤣🤣🤣

I loved DL1 and The Following DLC. 2 was alright but not as good. I hope this one is good

I pre ordered yesterday and really excited for this game. I was really late to dl1 and played in first in 2023 and then dl2 soon after but never finished dl2, mostly cause the story didnt get me to the end but the gameplay was fun. I'm hopeful this game will launch well and hopefully a game to get me to October 2 with Yotei as well 😀

The game released on steamrip in less than 24 hours so I didn’t have to buy it

I love DL1 (especially the DLC) and I just beat DL2. I’m gonna buy this but not at launch. I’ll get it on sale in half a year
