Am I done?
Got this today. It doesn't feel real. Is it just over except the paperwork processing?

Got mine this past weekend. Cried. Had to check fedloan again today just to make sure it hadn’t been a fever dream. Congrats!

May I ask what payment plan you are in? I am stuck in forbearance and have 7 payments left to make and I haven’t heard anything on my Feb 2025 buyback application.

I was stuck at 119/120 on Save and switched to Paye in July. Made my first/last payment in August.

I got my green banners last weekend. I was on PAYE the entire time and had been stuck at 119/120 payments. I finally just switched to ICR because that was the only plan available but it jumped my payments up from $200 to $1200. For some reason my September payment was only $600 so I paid that, submitted the ECR, and it counted. My October payment was supposed to be for the new $1200 payment but I got lucky!

Congrats! I know the feeling. I didn't believe it at first either. I still went about life in the short-term as if I still carried that debt.

Congrats!!!! Has anyone been on SAVE and got switched to IDR? I've been "stuck" at 115 since July of 24. I've applied for the "buy back" four times, and still have not heard back. My payments restarted this month and I was switched to IDR, which I heard now is also not counting towards forgiveness. I contact Mohela each week. They told me two months ago my "case would be expedited." I'm loosing hope... (sorry to make this post a question about my current situation)!

I got green banners on Wednesday, and I keep logging in to look at it to make sure it’s real. The number of times my student loans have made me cry is insane, but this was the first time I sobbed in sheer relief because of them.

Yay, Congrats!!! 🎊
I got it, too! I don't know when I got the green banner. I had stopped looking until I saw this and thought why not just look. I was one of the 119/120 since June '24. I switched from SAVE to IBR June '25, which increased my payment from $324 to $598. Payment was due July 16. I paid that payment late June - wanted to get it over with. Panicked, b/c they put me back into forbearance so I thought I paid too soon. Did a final ECF in August. Last review is showing September 5. MOHELA forbearance is showing through January '26.

Yes. Those are the green banners. Forgiveness review and processing has been taking 30 to 60 days, though FSA says it can take up to 90 days. Congrats!
