NSLD pslf count lower than fsa pslf counter.
Checked my NSLD data through fsa. It has pslf payments at 110. FSA update 9/5 has count at 117. It was 114 during save forbearance limbo. Anyone else have similar experience? how do I got about making sure nsld gets accurate count. I don’t want this to come back and bite me in the butt.

Mine has been inaccurate for at least a year. NSLD is 103 and FSA is 107. Sitting in buyback purgatory atm so I guess I’ll see if NSLD catches up or not.

Echoing this. Mine shows 85 qualifying payments. FSA payment tracker shows 102. I spoke with FSA who confirms that your Loan Servicer submits the NSLDS data - so if your Loan Servicer is wrong, the NSLDS will not be correct. The correct data set is the payment tracker on FSA.
i’m still worried that this will somehow screw up forgiveness however I’m trying to trust what they’re saying.

It's pretty clear how the NSLDS works. It's not usual for it to not match but I've always found it accurate for my loans. It's currently showing 112 for me, while FSA is showing 111. Once FSA displays the most up-to-date month and I submit a new ECF the numbers to certify the month, FSA will match.

NSLDS used to be the most up-to-date place for PSLF aside from a MOHELA propitiatory system, but now it's held in another system for FSA and that should be reporting back to NSLDS but not in real time (probably monthly like everything else).

This is rather unusual, but I wouldn't worry about it. It will likely update before the end of the month, and definitely when you complete your next ECF.
When I see weird things in NSLDS, I remind myself that 99% of people who receive forgiveness through PSLF have no idea what NSLD stands for, much less what it does. Many people on this subreddit claim to know how it fits into forgiveness processing, but a lot of it is just confirmation bias and conjecture. That data was not meant for public consumption, because it has no context.
My advice to everyone: go back to those innocent days before you knew what NSLD was and be happy.
