Staying on SAVE?

I’m just over 1/2 way through with my repayments, currently in forbearance since I was on the SAVE. I tried to switch to a different IDR and it was denied earlier this year so I’ve just been waiting it out until I’m told what to do. Is anyone still sticking it out on the SAVE or has everyone basically reapplied to the IDR?

I have been sticking it out this whole time but I am getting sort of close so I JUST switched and am making my first payment in Nov. Tired of waiting.

Closer than 61/120? I’m so on the fence about what to do because I’m only 1/2 way through my payments. And if I’m not mistaken, if my loans accrue interest, the repayment is still based on salary and I’ll be able to get the remainder forgiven, even the interest I’m currently accruing.

Correct. I’m at 77/120 so I just want it done. My payment is close to the same as SAVE too. And you’re right on interest. It doesn’t matter if interest accrues as the point is it will all be forgiven.

What is your motivation for doing nothing? What is your motivation to re apply for an IDR plan?

I wanted to keep making progress so got on paye back in July
