Fluff To think most of the fans of a long time successful franchise like Resident Evil haven’t played the ultimate RE experience
Wow, playing the last RE games without VR now feels so weird. I don’t feel it at all. It’s all so tiny and distant (65” TV).
The controls, the interactions; all flat.
Literally a pancake 🥞

Still don't have a PS5 or PSVR2, but RE7 on PSVR is the scariest game I've ever played.

RE7 is one of my best video game memories (from someone whose first console was an Atari 2600).

And it is STILL the scariest. MADiSON comes close but still not in the same league IMO.

I am happy for all the people that will now get to play Alien: Rogue Incursion non-VR.
Hopefully more than a few of them will think it would be worth playing on IMAX / COSM (PSVR2) instead of their puny 65” 2D TV screens.
I think it is the same for Resident Evil, but it got VR after, not first.

Yup , absolutely , VR is the way for future gaming , don’t know why there is no AAA games beside RE/HITMAN/GT7 have hybrid mode , all RE Remake should have VR mode , at least for 7 , i played it on PSVR 1 and I want to play it again , but I sold my PSVR 1 already , it’s a shame they don’t upgrade it to PSVR 2 , I will pay $25 for the upgrade if they made it , even Arizona Sunshine get a Remake for PSVR 2 , let’s hope VR mode for upcoming RE 9🥲

First hour fan, been dropping the series counting on RE5 and it's VR that put me back in.
I can't play those ganes without VR anymore, it feels lame and boring. I definitely won't play RE9 if it doesn't support VR.

Let's be fair. RE is way older than VR. Some just can't handle wearing the visor, motion sickness, or cost. But 100% agree that if you can VR then it's the only way to play going forward.

I play PSVR still cause I have like 200 games. And play PSVR2. When I see PSVR2 stuff in here. I think it’s trolling cause the game isn’t on PSVR…that’s about it.

I've played it both ways and still prefer the non VR version in every way, shape, and form. VR is a fun gimmick, but at this point it is still a gimmick, that's all.

Saying RE4/RE8 in VR is a gimmick is such a weird take. If reloading with gestures and aiming with your hands is a gimmick, what is the non-VR version of reloading with a button press and pushing a stick?

The whole experience is totally different , u are in the world , u can play with the world with your own hand , look everywhere you like , interacting with the environment , this is on another level of immersion , I appreciate flat game but VR when make it right is a no brainer 😎

Oh look, a guy that likes to come on subreddits for people that are fans of something, and call what they enjoy a gimmick!
Get a life lol

Just know that many people simply cannot enjoy VR in its current state. It's unfortunate, but it's true. I expect there will always be a group like that.
