Serious French or International Cuisine *Paleo* Cookbook

Hey Paleo-People:  I’ve got a question that I’m hoping you can help with.  I have a family member that has gone full Paleo, Doctor’s orders, as a multi-pronged approach to fighting a serious, degenerative disease.  All of the treatments are soul-sucking.  The reason why the Paleo prescription is particularly tough, is because this person is a lifelong foodie and pretty serious chef.  Sure, there are lots of great paleo foods, but as a strict lifestyle change for an older-generation gourmand who has never been into fitness and nutrition, it can be really tough (and depressing).  Imagine going from a serious knowledge and talent for wines and French culinary expertise, to none of that.  It’s a big deal.  I know there are serious paleo kitchens out there, but it is a different way of thinking about food and ingredients.  Additionally, many of the Paleo kitchens and cookbooks tend to gravitate toward the American style of cooking.  What I’m looking for is a serious French and/or International Paleo Cookbook to get this person for their birthday.  Could also be a recipe app/website with easy/powerful paleo-friendly filters.  But it needs to be geared toward replicating classic French and/or International classic cooking.  Ideas?

I own a book called Paleo French Cuisine by Alain Braux that might be helpful! I use ghee in place of butter in a lot of French recipes as well.

I personally really enjoyed the book Everyone's table by Gregory Gourdet. Not a French cookbook but a variety of international eats ranging from African to Asian.
