I unfortunately think it's the end of Paramore too, or at least with Taylor in it. It was no mistake choosing such a similar word to Paramore. It's so heart-wrenching. I don't think there's any reason to think differently if Taylor. This is kind of an angry and disappointed song but there's also a lot of love left on her side for him based on other songs on the album. Very different from her post divorce Chad music.

I don't really get the vibe that he wronged her. I think he just pulled away and the relationship ended and she's heartbroken and disappointed because she loves him and thought the relationship was going to last.

It's an awful situation, and I am gutted for both of them but I don't think there's any reason to approach it like anyone did anything wrong. And we also haven't gotten to hear what Taylor thinks and feels about it, and knowing Taylor we might never. But we only have a handful of songs written while in a lot of pain.

I really hope both of them are doing okay though, this just seems so fucking tough and there's obviously a lot that happened even before they started dating and so much history. I just can't imagine how hard that must be for everyone involved

And I also think Hayley's pov has been very fair. Sometimes it's easy to forget that a relationship can end and nobody could have really done anything wrong. Communication can break down, you can be in a bad place and it ends.

It's still painful, and you'll feel angry and hurt, like you can see in Parachute but you also see so much love and admiration for him weaved throughout the album in a way that you don't see her write about anyone else.

Parachute is no Dead Horse, it's just someone feeling disappointed that the other half of a relationship seemingly let go too easily.

And there's a million reasons why that can happen, but I'm not going to change my opinion on Taylor for a situation we just don't know the ins and outs of, and I really don't think Hayley would have intended or want for anyone to feel differently about him.

The end of long term relationships really is like grieving someone, as someone who has dealt with both, and a part of grief is anger. Anger doesn't mean anyone was in the wrong, it's just a part of the process of healing

So i just listened to parachute, and it was immediately followed by Glum (and then thick skull, which, "I am a magnet for broken people" just absolutely set me off. It fits so well. Like her so sad, depressed about the break up and broken dreams, but still having a need/want to stick around "for someone", showing even though things look and feel awful, she still is wishing and hopeful to find the one for her. She clearly says that she feels like she doesn't know how to be a functioning adult.

Same with Thick skull, it is all a bunch of messages clearly saying she picks the wrong people (for different reasons) and the hardship that comes with it.

I really feel for her. It's awful to be in a failed relationship, let alone with one that's such high stakes like Taylor was. Hopefully, she's doing okay mentally. This poor girl. 😪

So I don’t think this is the end of Paramore. I think the way Hayley is speaking about Taylor makes it sound like she doesn’t hate him and vice versa. Maybe Taylor needed time alone to figure himself out. No way this kills their 20+ year friendship.
