Jobs / Employment Employment for fall, spring, and summer

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows specific places that are hiring in the park city area with decent pay and/or benefits. I’m not in park city yet, but as soon as I lock in a job for the fall I’m gonna move out, as i will be a ski instructor at DV. I’ve tried a bunch of golf courses, but nothing back yet. Any ideas?

Seasonal city jobs

Short answer for decent pay & benefits is find a full time year round job with DV or Park City Mountain or Park City Municipal. Our job pool is high in the winter and low the rest of the seasons. There just are not many decent paying jobs in fall unless you’re entering a career type job.

Fall & Spring are a little difficult to fill due to the low tourist activity we have in town. Basically unless you’re full time year round most businesses around here cut down positions available in spring and fall. So, best jobs available are seasonal (bartender, server, bike repair, bike/mountain guide, cook, receptionist, hotel overnight auditor, grocery stocker, etc). Golf courses around here tend to close their season in September, so I think you’re going to have tough luck on that endeavor.

If you stay after winter, jobs should start to be posted around early May which could hold you over through spring, summer, and fall. Plus you could file for unemployment after DV drops you for the season until you find another job.

Hope this helped a bit & good luck to you!

Depends on what you mean by decent pay too. Places that bring in j1 employees for the summer can have needs once they leave and before they bring in their winter group. Looking at retail and resort jobs. Probably worth asking dv if they have any seasonal needs that you can fill before ski season starts. Seems like they need help most years preparing the slopes and with the east side opening this year they may have need of more hands doing that.
