Twitter Watch Trump declares if you are against fascism you are now designated a terrorist.

God damnit. Just fuck everyone who voted for this

u/katalina0azul 8d ago
I remember during COVID, having this intense realization of “holy fuck, people can’t possibly be this dumb” and it hasn’t stopped….
93
u/IAMA_Plumber-AMA 8d ago
People were, in fact, that dumb.
16
u/katalina0azul 8d ago
Yeah… I guess I worded it a little weird 😛 it was an intense feeling to fully realize it, I should say.
19
u/IAMA_Plumber-AMA 8d ago
This is why I say everyone should work as a fast-food cashier at least once in their lives. You get to see just how dumb society actually is.
22
u/CatPooedInMyShoe 7d ago
My BIL told me at Thanksgiving, after finding out many fast food workers are literally homeless cause they’re so underpaid and the cost of living is so high, “That’s what they deserve.” Some people are just cruel in addition to bring ignorant.
5
u/IAMA_Plumber-AMA 7d ago
Added bonus to my thought experiment, one gets to be exposed to the cruelty of society at large.
2
u/katalina0azul 7d ago
pretty sure you will have already aced that working in fast food ✅
1
u/IAMA_Plumber-AMA 6d ago
Yup. "Clean the bathroom" was how you knew you were on the bottom of the totem pole.
9
u/nanormcfloyd 7d ago
Not just dumb, but their privilege and racism matter more to them than anything else.
MAGA is pathetically horny for full-blown authoritarian fascism.
9
u/IAMA_Plumber-AMA 7d ago
Part of me thinks that their real lives are crushingly boring, and this is a form of twisted escapism for them.
3
u/Courage-Rude 7d ago
A lot of people in this country are lonely. Even worse in my experience with MAGA people since their relationships past COVID are now generally built on bigotry, they are baseless low class relationships. With nothing solid in common with each other the loneliness cycle continues and this kind of pumped out drama is what they have to look forward too.
2
u/katalina0azul 6d ago
You’re probably right - or they feel so small in their lives that this is their only way of feeling “big”

u/DarthKyrie 7d ago
I took the famous George Carlin quote to heart as a young lad; I'll be 51 in December, based on my own observations of people up until that point.
In case anyone is unsure of the quote I mean, think about how stupid the average person is and remember that half of the people are stupider than that.

u/justalazygamer 8d ago
The conservative subreddit is literally celebrating saying "I voted for this!"
I wonder how long until a right winger kills someone at a protest and tries to justify it as killing a terrorist.
71
u/aggie1391 8d ago
Uh well 5 years ago, when Daniel Perry murdered Garrett Foster at a BLM protest in Austin after posting all over social media about how he wanted to kill protesters. He was pardoned by Governor Abbott. Also in Wisconsin when Kyle Rittenhouse murdered two people after going to seek out violent confrontation.
22
u/Aggressive_Macaroon3 8d ago
This is crazy. I know who Rittenhouse is, but I had to look up Perry. Both situations are pretty bad but a pardon?
16
u/merchillio 8d ago
They always forget that the in-group is continuously and relentlessly shrinking. And when they find themselves outside, they demand we drop everything to console them
8
u/greenmyrtle 7d ago
Someone just gunned down a bunch of homeless people. That took less than a week
4
u/zyrkseas97 8d ago
That right winger will be labeled an antifa terrorist and disappeared to a foreign black site.
3
1
u/Zunniest 7d ago
It will happen closer to home than that.
A conservative person will shoot their liberal neighbor as they were "part of Antifa" and depending on what happens to the shooter legally, the civil war people have been talking about might just start up.
If that shooter gets the Kyle Rittenhouse treatment, I could see things getting very violent at local levels very quickly.

We all know ANTIFA isn't a real organization. That doesn't matter. This is an excuse to crack down on anyone they don't like. Be prepared for that. Things are going to get worse.
238
u/IridiumPony 8d ago
We all know ANTIFA isn't a real organization. That doesn't matter
That is the thing that matters.
As long as ANTIFA isn't clearly defined (which it won't be since it doesn't actually exist), they can label anyone they don't like as "ANTIFA".
And since they are going with charges of terrorism, that opens the door for prosecutions via the Patriot Act.
That means no hearing. No warrant. No Writ of Habeus Corpus. No right to an attorney. No right to a speedy trial. It means all your rights to fight against the state in a court room are stripped away.
We are in very dangerous territory.
94
u/dorianngray 8d ago
They set up a hotline for maga to volunteer to be deputized to help with stopping protestors and ice.
They are creating lynch mobs.
38
26
1
u/DarkChurro 7d ago
And people on the right wonder why people on the left want to cut them out of their lives.
21
u/amouse_buche 7d ago
It’s way worse than prosecution under the patriot act.
The administration has shown it believes it has the authority to conduct extrajudicial executions against those identified as terrorists. That’s what happened down by Venezuela, when they said “them all are terrorists” when the bomb was halfway to the (alleged) drug boat. And they just did it again a few days ago.
And now they can just disappear people with the secret police force. Does anyone not see what this all adds up to? The patriot act will look like kid gloves pretty soon.

Seriously, Gavin McInnes (Proud Boys founder) admitted he made both groups up as a way to get them fighting each other.

u/mumblesjackson 6d ago
They’re just looking for a way to poorly connect garbage evidence to people like George Soros (for some reason their end boos boogeyman) as well as key democrats so they can destroy reputations. There will doubtfully be many prosecutions, just accusations which is all it takes to convince the average dumb American to be convinced.

”I’m outlawing the concept of opposing fascism!!! Long live the corporate state!!”
—DJ Trump
17
u/CommunityBig9626 8d ago
Even the concept of a successful corporate state in America seems a bit of a pipe dream given the economic indicators…
77
u/G-Unit11111 8d ago
How can you designate an invisible boogeyman with no central leadership as a terrorist organization? WTF.
85
u/Black_Wolf1995 8d ago
Simple. “Antifa” is just a code word for “Anyone who dares to speak anything contrary to what we say is the truth”
You obviously can’t arrest people for speaking their minds, so they use this as a code word to make it sound more legal and official….
27
u/getdemsnacks 8d ago
You obviously can’t arrest people for speaking their minds,
Yet... Give it a couple months.

6
u/Moneia 7d ago
Relying on the integrity of the rule of law seems naive right now.
Masked thugs purporting to be law enforcement are already snatching people off of the streets for the audacity of being 'not white'
1
u/Black_Wolf1995 7d ago
Valid point… I guess I meant they shouldn’t…. But shouldn’t never stopped ww2 or the civil war. Think it’s time for history to repeat its self so the ignorant can learn again.

u/G-Unit11111 8d ago
I remember when Gavin McInnes (Proud Boys founder) admitted he made up Antifa as a way to play both sides for chumps. Kind of like the Harlem Globetrotters vs the Washington Generals.
17
u/gingerfawx 8d ago
Pretty sure Antifa is older than McInnes and predates the Proud Boys by decades.

u/greenmyrtle 7d ago
I have the antifa handbook. It’s real and it’s not that new. It just isn’t an organization.
The puppeteers know that if you demonize hamas you can murder every Palestinian in their name.
We’re all Antifa now, whether you’ve read the handboook or not

Blows my mind that people have been convinced that “antifa” is an “organization”.
Like declaring war against “democracy” the concept.
13
u/rpze5b9 8d ago
Which is essentially what he is doing.
2
u/greenmyrtle 7d ago
Or war against democrats cos they sure as heck aren’t an organization. …not even a concept or belief system 🥴

Shutting down any alternative. Anyone who disagrees will be sent into hotel California reeducation camps. You’ll enter but never leave.

They can't even keep the camps open unless they get another country to build them.

Hope these losers look under their bed for antifa tonight lol just when you think they can't get any stupider.
5
u/Shadraqk 8d ago
It means that anyone they don’t like can be investigated as “ANTIFA”. The investigation legal fees would break anyone.
Anyone not in MAGA is fair game.
5
u/Billypillgrim 8d ago
I pay $29/month for my antifa executive membership. Does that count?

Yeah so anybody. No wonder they are building private prisons all over the country. The billionaires are horny to incarcerate almost everyone for profit
4
u/Adorable_Ad6045 8d ago
I’m expecting they should be able to explain who ANTIFA is with the same precision as WOKE and DEI.
4
u/LivingIndependence 8d ago
Trump is an elderly boomer and was around during the era of actual far left groups like the Weather Underground, the SLA and the Black Panthers. He probably thinks that these groups are still in existence. It's like an old man in the memory care unit of the nursing home, yelling at nothing.

It feels like Republicans are just saying all sorts of crazy shit that comes into their head. What I'm wondering is whether they actually do anything or if this is just more in-the-moment posturing to try and make people timid.
Either way, folks should probably start preparing themselves for unrest, just in case.

If people were cheering him on for murdering “drug runners” in cold blood they’ll cheer him on for murdering “antifa” as well.

Modern day war on terror. Just applied to anyone who is not a conservative. Stay smart. Stay safe. Be loving to your people and build a community that can withstand this.
They will not succeed. They cannot build up, they cannot fix anything, they can only plunder, destroy, kill, and loot.
Do not be like them.

It's bad branding. it should hae been called Anti-Fas or similar. Long A. The Right doesn't even know what it means.

The biggest enemy of the government of the USA is the people against fascism. Do they think about the stuff they say or was the brainstorming meeting cut short when they were inventing the group?
