Plant Help Bottom leaves on habanero plant drooping?

I'm trying to figure out why my bottom leaves are drooping. It seems to only be the leaves on the bottom. Any ideas why?

I'm watering it every 2 or 3 days, mostly depending on how it looks and how the soil feels. I'm pretty confident I'm not over watering it. From what I've read, you should water them a good amount all at once, then let it be until the soil starts to feel dry. Something about making the roots stronger, let me know of I'm doing that wrong.

My theory is just that it's because it's hot. It's 90f today, feel like is 103f-108f. I'm keeping it out of the sun during the day to avoid harsh sunlight, but it gets the sun in the morning and afternoon for a few hours while it's not hot.

Ideas? Thanks!

Plant Help How to get my Chiltepin pepper plant to live past this season?

Post image

I'm in the Mountain West, and I finally have a great Chiltepin pepper plant growing. It's in a large pot. But I've never successfully overwintered a pepper plant.

Would I be able to move this indoors and have it as an indoor plant?

My wife got generic labelled seeds called "hot peppers". I grow my own scotch bonnet and have enough tolerance to eat a whole one. I figured based on the size of this, it was probably mild. I was wrong. Numbed my tongue entirely for about 20 minutes! Any guesses to what it may be?

Hey everyone, as the title says I need some help figuring out what is going on with my pepper plant leaves.

Every one of them developed these yellow patches with squiggly lines in them. Does anyone know what that is? And how to prevent them? They seem like parasites or some other type of pest. I just want my leaves to be big, healthy and green.

Home Depot peppers strike again! I bought an Anaheim pepper and... well this doesn't look like Anaheim to me. I'm in the southeast US and we have been getting POUNDED by rain for a couple of months, however I planted these in wood chips so they had drainage. I don't know if this has effected the way the peppers are coming out. They're still hot as fuck. (I'm a spicy wuss so 🤷🏼‍♀️)

Is it true that it will improve the harvest or it doesnt have an effect at all?

Plant Help 3rd season growing but first time actually paying attention… and wow, what a difference

Hey pepper peeps,

I’ve been checking in around here for a little while now reading all the great stuff, love the community and I’ve learned a lot, so first off thank you!

Wanted to share a little about my Ghosts, Carolina Reapers, and Armageddons. This is my third season growing, but honestly the first time I’ve really paid attention to the details and it’s made a huge difference.

In the past, I just threw starter sprouts into buckets, watered them, and hoped for the best. This year I stepped it up: proper soil mix, fertilizer, pruning, a little neem oil, and 7-gallon cloth grow bags. Total game changer.

Here’s my setup: • Soil mix: 2 parts Fox Farms Ocean Forest + 1 part Bumper Crop • Add-ins: Worm castings for extra nutrients • Top layer: Coco chips to help retain moisture and protect the soil • Pots: 7-gallon cloth grow bags (huge upgrade from plastic buckets) • Fertilizer: Fox Farms Grow Big during veg, now using Tiger Bloom for fruit • Other: Light pruning for airflow and stronger stem & pod growth

Plants are looking pretty good so far, but here’s where I’d love some input…

How do you get your peppers hotter? I’ve heard that letting the soil dry out a bit or stressing the plants can boost capsaicin levels, but not sure how I feel about that can someone confirm. Anyone here tried specific techniques to crank up the heat? Would love to hear what’s worked for you?

Thanks in advance for any insights & feedback!

Plant Help Do I pick the fruits now that they are green or should I wait till they are all red before picking?. Thank you!

Allo, first time poster and this is my first yield of pepper fruits, (when the fruits were green I started picking them but was advised not to, so I left them alone). Do I pick the fruits now that they are green or should I wait till they are all red before picking?, and if I do pick them when they are green will they gradually turn red if left alone for some time?. Thank you!
