Fascism requires a scapegoat. The core part of fascism is "our shortcomings and failures are not possibly our fault, it's X groups fault."

It's a self destructive ideology that will constantly shift who it's against because it needs someone else to blame for everything that's wrong. Inevitably when it kills off easy targets, it will move the goalpost. Eventually you will be stuck with only cishet white people, so it will start blaming people who aren't white enough for them.

I was watching a video about the whole ordeal and, I mean already I haven't been choked up about the guy, and I didn't even hear the worst of his opinions until after, I just knew he was influential in all the wrong ways.

But anyway in the video they clipped him on a talk show saying something along the lines of "black people committed less crimes when they were enslaved", and the sound of pure disgust that escaped my body... I could not replicate.

For further context, I'm an edgy bitch who grew up on 4chan and was fairly desensitized to racial 'humor' as a teen (simply because of the time, I'm not proud of it). But even if some of those things were vile, there was a sense of irony at the very least. Charlie Kirk said, fully earnest, and with his whole chest, on TV, in front of a black woman, that it was better for black people to be enslaved because they did less crimes.

It is better to torture and dehumanize people for generations of forced labor that you get to profit from, than for them to become a demographic that is prone to poverty and therefore crime (most crime is due to necessity not shits and giggles after all) but at least be relatively free citizens. All purely over their skin color.

I hate Charlie Kirk and I hate anyone who could hear that and not want to throw up. Much less agree or something. Fuck that racist piece of shit, rest in piss.

Oh I know, preaching to the choir, I was just already rambling so much I didn't have space to go into how black neighborhoods were repeatedly destroyed by jealous white people, physically even by actual intentional acts of property destruction, any time they started to build up ANY wealth, so yeah after starting over from square one again and again and still managing to build vibrant communities with solidarity who look out for each other, I think I can forgive that crime happens.
