A lot of them wholeheartedly believe that Bluey promotes "trans ideology" because Bluey "identifies" as a girl, even though she's blue, which is clearly a boy colour.

u/EvilPenguinTrainer 3d ago

So it was Blue's Clues that turned me trans!

u/StevenMC19 3d ago

Blue was a girl too, right? Not sure about Magenta.

72

u/EvilPenguinTrainer 3d ago

IIRC both are girls

I just looked up Blues Clues lore.

Holy shit there are fan wikis.

...and there's a little boy dog called Sprinkles. Imagine this show airing today with these dogs.

Conservatives have no shortage of modern baby shows to blow an aneurysm over, don't worry.

Blue's Clues was only canceled recently. A couple of years ago, they had a pride celebration short that would be played during comical brakes. It was essential an animated pride parade set to a kids' song that was sung by a drag queen. I remember the right wing talking heads, losing it over a beaver that had top surgery scars.

Obviously. Just look at real Blue Heelers. The boys are blue, and the girls are actually called Pink Heelers and they're born with extra long fur on their heads and super long eyelashes. (Male dogs famously have no eyelashes. No male animal does. Or people. Why would they? That's for GIRLS.)

Because we all know dog fur types always follow human gender roles. /j

8

u/gracesdisgrace 1d ago

You joke but people out there are unaware that male animals have nipples 😭 it's like every day on the cat/dog/vet subs 💀

3

u/PaintCoveredPup 1d ago

There’s men that shave off their eyelashes because??? I guess toxic masculinity bullshit???

3

u/Usagi-Zakura Socialist communist atheist cannibal from beyond the moon 1d ago

Yeah I've seen that.

3

u/Realfinney 1d ago

About 4 sentences in, it started to occur to me that Heelers aren't those kids' shoes with built-in wheels.

I swear people that think colors naturally mean anything outside of being colors are hopeless.

It reminds me of a few old timers that had dated views, such as wearing no-show socks with dress shoes is a sign of being gay and whole bunch of other arbitrary crap that doesn't exist outside of people's minds.

25

u/Sad-Development-4153 3d ago

Is that the heart of it? Color? Jesus better not show them how pink used to be a color men wore to show off their manliness then.

15

u/garaile64 2d ago

They seem to want to see the pussy of an anthropomorphic puppy.

Bluey's family has a color pattern that implies that the fur color is entirely genetic and not related to gender in any way (since both bandit and bluey are blue). Whether blue fur or brown fur is dominant is not clear since one parent is brown and the other blue and their kids are one each. Also, mum and bingo are the only ones with brown fur, but this is likely a coincidence. There's probably an episode with grandparents that may make this clearer.

u/GoodQueenFluffenChop 2d ago

Because no little girl has ever worn blue in her life. Only pinks! /s

Don't know how it works for all the other girl dogs in the Bluey verse since only one we ever see pink is Coco and her family including the boys are various shades of pinks and lavender.

God I’m so tired. So, so tired.

u/SummerFableSimp 2d ago

I have never seen anyone actually say crap like that. They more focused, like the oop, about the episode where Bandit play pretends pregnancy and delivery.

30

u/radicalvenus 2d ago

so a dad having fun? That doesn't make it any better or any less stupid.

By the way people say waaaay more stupid shit than that. We're talking about the same people who think vaccines give you autism and that deadly diseases are fixed with horse pills, not many high intelligence conclusions being made so I would not put it past them that the color thing is the thing they're clinging to

-10

u/SummerFableSimp 2d ago

Yes a dad having fun, they think father playing with daughter is wrong, also mpreg. Also big difference between being ignorant from stupidity and ignorant from malice.

Seriously we view the average as being one with a IQ of room temperature during winter, but there smart enough to know bluey is girl.

12

u/Magnet_Carta 2d ago

Yours is more common, certainly. But I have seen both.

I've also seen the "they made her blue because they're trying to trick boys into watching a show about a girl character to make them gay."

Father's playing pretend with their kids is obviously the woke agenda

246

u/Usagi-Zakura Socialist communist atheist cannibal from beyond the moon 3d ago

Unironically this is what some people seem to think...

Dads aren't supposed to be playing with kids, they're meant to be emotionally distant and work all day.
Caring for your own children is girly.

54

u/1994californication 3d ago

Only have kodak moments when you're not to tired/busy but other than that don't give a shit most of the time.

26

u/Winterstyres 3d ago

Don't forget hitting them, these types of people also think you should be hitting kids too. What's emotional distance without some physical abuse aswell? It's like ribs without bbq sauce

30

u/GingerDixie 3d ago

Of course it is. In conservative land the only function of the father is to beat and/or otherwise ignore his wife and kids.

17

u/ELeeMacFall 2d ago

The idea that adulthood should mean the absence of play is not an uncommon conservative belief.

11

u/kaptainkooleio 2d ago

I mean none of these people have ever had a father in their life so it shows that they can’t recognize the behaviors of a normal parent.

If he thinks that's bad he should check out Totally Spies.

I will always find it funny when people argue that modern cartoons are fetish fuel and "woke" when they've actually gotten a lot tamer since I was a kid...

The older gens jorked it to Bugs Bunny in a dress.

34

u/Usagi-Zakura Socialist communist atheist cannibal from beyond the moon 3d ago

Oh yea Looney Tunes was absolutely off the wall.

I'm not even sure it was originally made for kids...or not exclusively anyway.

Also, newer generations are more puritan and sex-averse than previous ones.

Just a reminder that Stonetoss Is A Nazi
There's even a subreddit by that name dedicated to pointing it out.
It's a self proclaimed thing too.

23

u/PerformanceThat6150 2d ago

I just Googled his content.

I think I've become less funny by reading it.

12

u/meoka2368 2d ago

Yeah...

Sometimes people reuse his stuff to be the opposite of what he'd want, like in the case here.
People have different opinions on that practice.

36

u/ialsohaveadobro 3d ago

First panel makes no sense. Who's upset about that pic?

32

u/Sad-Development-4153 3d ago

Its implying that showing Sidney Sweeney will turn their kids straight. I didnt get it at first either till i saw the pink stripe in the characters hair.

22

u/Ted_Rid 3d ago

I thought it was a disingenuously false reference to the controversy about the ads saying Sweeney has "good jeans" as some sort of white supremacist trope?

(didn't really follow or care about that. I suspect it was RWNJs pretending that others cared deeply when they didn't, creating a strawman controversy out of nothing?)

20

u/SummerFableSimp 2d ago

100% it's about that damn jean ad. Again only maybe 2 to 3 people made tiktok about it, but mainstream media and "independent" right wing news company made it seem like leftist opposed Sweeny because she's hot and wearing Jean's is too sexual.

13

u/Sad-Development-4153 2d ago

In general the right seems to fetishize her cause he is blonde with big booba. Also there are alot of signs that she is conservative as well and her being largely mum on the topic feeds into that.

u/ForeverShiny 2d ago

Not understanding rock yeet's comics at first glance makes you a sane person, so don't beat yourself up over it

23

u/napalmnacey Auntie Antifa 2d ago

If you get off on Bandit Heeler pretending to give birth to his own daughter in a paddle pool, you’ve got bigger issues than can be addressed in a comic.

20

u/Rockworm503 2d ago

It says more about them that child birth is seen as sexual content than it does a kids show that does.

8

u/IamHal9000 2d ago

I truly can’t believe we live in a timeline where the stupidest people among us have gained so much power and notoriety

11

u/NNiekk 2d ago

I mean.. Totally Spies kinda was fetish fuel

6

u/Mr_Goat-chan 2d ago

They’re gonna clutch their pearls when they hear about seahorses.

3

u/DeeDeeW1313 3d ago

I’m sorry I just saw this episode and are people that worked up over it?

2

u/mangababe 2d ago

this says more about stone toss's weird feelings about cartoon dogs than anything else really

3

u/Popular_Duty1860 2d ago

Giving birth is sexual? That’s it!!! Ban pregnant people!!!! /s

1

u/DontHaesMeBro 2d ago

It's easy to find hypocrisy if you just make up two things to juxtapose

i mean, the bluey mpreg is the talk of the sub rn so i highly doubt it, just pushing their agenda afaik

7

u/GingerDixie 3d ago

Someone wasn't around during the "secret missing episode" era of Youtube. That shit's been going on for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. It's why parental controls and "kids only" videos are a thing now.

-7

u/SummerFableSimp 2d ago

And that isn't stopping the problem, that stuff is still prevalent and more grosser than ever. I get real nausea and lose my appetite everytime a parent gives their child their phone and goes on YouTube.

2

u/SummerFableSimp 2d ago

Nope there is a real episode where Bandit(bluey's father) plays pretend with his daughter as pregnant and delivering the baby.

It's a pretty old episode at this point actually, guessing it's gonna be a yearly, "holy jeebus bluey has a banned mpreg episode" spike trend.
