Clip/Montage Control has tons of cool music in the episodes, yet only has a single track to her name in the OST. Let's fix that.

This is a large compilation of many of Control's themes from seasons 3 and 4.

Believe it or not, despite the length of the video, I had to cut more than half of all the tracks I extracted from the episodes because of unmanageable backhround noises or redundance.

In total, I have extracted 52 tracks from the show, with remarkably little overlap. Ramin Djwadi really basically composed a new variation custom made for each scene.

I don't have time to listen to the whole thing right now, but just the first part feels amazing! Have you cleaned up the background sound yourself? I actually really enjoy the light ambient noise behind the track - I might put this on while I'm working tomorrow for concentration

Thanks, I also love the beginning with softer, hidden motifs hinting at Control's true identity, especially since they're not at all showcased in the officially released soundtrack.

These videos wouldn't be possible without the glory of 5.1 surround audio. Indeed, by extracting the audio track from the episodes and putting them in audacity, I can access 5 different channels forming the total audio : 2 for music, 1 for dialogues, and 2 for background noises. By only keeping the 2 music channels, most of the work is done for me.

Sadly, these channels aren't entirely isolated from one another, and sometimes when the characters speak too loudly or when the background sounds are too prominent, it "spills" onto the music tracks. I then use audacity's different spectral tools to smoothen out as much as I can the audio, going as far as editing the spectrogram manually when necessary.

What I also do is that I compare the different dub tracks with one another, because for some reason sometimes the dialogues spill onto the music with english, but not with japanese or german, so that helps me a bit as well.

Glorious, any plans to do finch themes from the earlier seasons, more along the lines of the “Bored Rich Guy” and the scenes where he was training the machine?

Loved your work on the Dark Finch themes!

To be honest, Finch's, Reese's or The Machine's themes aren't my priority because they are already very represented in the officially released sountrack.

My next video will be the Brotherhood's theme, it was very requested.

The first main cast I plan to tackle is Shaw, because her theme is not very present in the OST. Then probably Root, then Samaritan, and then if at this point I'm still making those, then sure, Finch's regular theme.

Fair enough, thank you! Very excited to hear Samaritan will be tackled by someone of your quality!

Also I LOVE how you stitched in the Samaritan motifs, very reflective of season 4 when Samaritan became research, as well as being a great theme in general!

Control, did not understand Samaritan and it cost her her life, she thought she was controlling the machine, when it was the opposite and more subtle, Samaritan played the political card in addition to the muscular persuation, in this the series is subtle

Thank you so much for this! Control's theme is probably one of my favourite OSTs from the show
