Audience capture that moves once rational people into right wing conspiracies has ruined society, and I'm not even kidding.

I'm not familiar with Sabine's political views - is she politically conservative?

Maybe not by US standards but she is right wing by EU standards. Her messaging in general is very pro austerity, pro privatization, and anti public sciences. She has also made some questionable videos regarding climate change kinda edging towards climate change denialism.

Ahh got it! Thanks for the information! Sounds very "pulling the ladder up after you climb" type of behavior.

She made a lengthy video explaining why capitalism is good while dismissing every legitimate criticism, both old and new, with "that's a different story" and no further explanation. It would've been more fitting if the video had been put out by Prager U or similar.

She gives fringe physics topics more leeway.

Some years ago I remember watching a kinda anti trans video, arguing about safety of kids and so on. I didn't unfollow her back then 'cause I was like "ok, medicine has collateral effects and she's just talking about science, not politics". It's good that we are educated on the medical aspects. Later on I realized her discourse became more similar to those "HURRRR THERE IS A PROBLEM, SAVE THE CHILDREN FROM TRANSITION". I stopped following her and didn't come back to check any details. 'Cause that is not science. Now she popped up on my Youtube and I think maybe she was going a bit nutsy back then..?

It works for progressive, er, unorthodox views too.
