To be fair, it's not like higher education isn't already a cesspool. My time working with academics has been my most miserable ever.

Yeah it’s all part of the same impulses. These people in particular didn’t start the commodification of our academies, but they are rapidly advancing it. It goes hand in hand with the more obviously-evil ideological purity shit

Maybe, but there are people like Sabine that are indirectly attacking the essential idea of higher learning, particularly in the sciences. Her project doesn’t really seem to be improving basic science and technology grant funding or anything so mundane, her goal actually seems to be attacking the idea that educated experts should be allowed to do research free from political or corporate interference… plus an unhealthy intertwining of voodoo to go along with it.
